CFB 27 will likely be the best dynasty mode to date (since the relaunch of 25’)
CFB 25 was the groundbreaking return, CFB 26 was mostly quality of life additions and some tuning, but CFB 27 is changing the entire way the mode is played.
Here’s my reasoning
- NIL is going to completely change the cookie cutter format and add another variable into the mix that you need to account for in terms of staff and player recruiting, this also is something you have more control over. You can choose to offer double NIL, you can make budget to overbid. Unlike grades or prestige which takes time to improve, or proximity which is what it is.
- coordinator offers just changed the game. Nothing was worse than the previous format of waiting all year and hoping for a good option for the random few they provided, just to end up stuck with a horrible coordinator who didn’t match your coaching build. Then to wait another season to try again, rinse and repeat. Now you have full control over finding the coordinator you need, as long as you are willing to pay up.
- Roster Retention used to be more of a dice roll, when persuading players. This would make or break your team for the upcoming season. But how, with NIl, you pay up to try and lower a players chances of leaving which is not only huge for small schools trying to retain their small talent pool, but also great for online leagues when someone takes a vacation and their key players want to leave.
- facilities upgrades were the perfect addition for the dynasty community because of the type of people who play this mode. They like depth, building towards something, being able to see improvement …. And this is exactly that. Not only can you upgrade it, but it costs points to do so, and it comes with player progression perks. Will feel like a landmark upgrade and a sign of program improvement when you upgrade.
- AD expectations and other misc goals to get more in-season dynasty points is massive, again, moving away from cookie cutter, last year all schools of equal prestige recruiting/scouting hours. But this year you can complete goals and tasks that get you extra dynasty hours, which can lead to far more NIL, a facilities upgrade or a better staff. This not only adds more of a skill gap between teams of the same caliber but provides further in season immersion.
- Coach package point scaling is massive for variability. Last year it was easy to figure out the best coach build and then make it happen. This year they retooled a bit to put the best coaching packages for a tree at tier 4, and then making it so the packages get more expensive up to tier 4. This means if you want to be elite at something, you will need to pay up and compromise in other places. This should lead to more variations for top coaching builds and paths to take to the top.
CFB 27 dynasty is likely going to introduce the largest gap and difficulty between small and large schools. Small school grinds will be super rewarding but also super tough, especially in online leagues.
Some key scalability differences
- small schools will be stuck with base level facilities for awhile due to the massive cost to upgrade. This means they won’t have access to facilities slots, unlike top schools which will have 4-5 unlocked, and possibly silver or better level for these equipment slots.
- small schools won’t be able to win bids as frequently on top tier coordinators, so they won’t be scaling coach wise at the same level that top schools are.
- support staff slots are based on school prestige level, and these slots are huge. Top schools will have access to reduced NIL expectations, increased dynasty points, all while having a massive dynasty points budget and reduced expectations to begin with. Meanwhile small schools will have little to no budget while having no packages to help.
- retention will cost much more than larger schools.
I know this all sounds obvious but last years game was more about small schools having less hours for recruiting and scouting, and having worse grades. In this year all of that still applies, plus like 40 other variables they have a disadvantage at.
This year the small school grind will be so rewarding, but it’s important you come in with a gameplan and make sure to execute if you want a chance at building your dynasty.
Dana White has called Freedom 250 the most important event in the UFC’s history.
So why aren't Conor McGregor, Jon Jones and other big names featured on Sunday night's card?
Viewers tuning in will not be seeing the greatest set of fights of all time, as White and President Donald Trump promised.
But will it matter?

Left-leaning media has fully mobilized against UFC in a way I’ve never seen before. I’ve seen dozens of pieces like this throughout the ecosystem. To that end, I’ve never seen the UFC viewed through a prism of political partisanship - for or against - like this. New era upon us.
