I'm consistently surprised by how the single act of doing this as an eng manager or product manager makes incredible waves:
Send an email explaining what your team did the past 1-2 weeks, what your plans are for the next period, blockers & lessons learned.
Every. Single. Time.
Great talk by @emilybache been using the 4C method for years when running technical training after learning it as an English foreign language teacher but never knew the name of the method until now https://t.co/UZo4vGoSdQ
Looking to try remote #MobProgramming? Maybe in a workshop facilitated by @WoodyZuill? Maybe for free funded by a team looking for more #MobProgramming engineers? https://t.co/IukdQTG8It Please RT for reach!!!! Especially to potential mobbers :)

Estimation has been officially removed from Scrum (see new Scrum Guide). Good, because people are way too obsessed with it.
Check out this thread for a non-obsessed and effective approach. 1/n
Regular note-taking didn't work for me.
Notes stay separate—connections are not made.
I fixed this by building a Zettelkasten using @RoamResearch.
(Zettelkasten originates from highly prolific sociologist Niklas Luhmann. He wrote 70 books & 500 scholarly articles.)

My university just announced that it’s dumping Blackboard, and there was much rejoicing. Why is Blackboard universally reviled? There’s a standard story of why "enterprise software" sucks. If you’ll bear with me, I think this is best appreciated by talking about… baby clothes!
@CGLambdin@DiscoverCrosby@allenholub@RonJeffries@WoodyZuill@johncutlefish@AnthonyMastrean @tastapod It is *so* entrenched in our industry to be driven by "how long will this take" vs "let's refine this to find something we can do quicker". Capability slicing naturally creates "smaller" capabilities, but more importantly they are more *precise*, so we know what to do for whom.
