Last night’s drive north on the Garden State Parkway—from the shore straight into the city—was pure magic in the Cyberbeast on Mad Max FSD mode. Unbelievable? Nah, straight-up astonishing.
I caught myself yelling out loud, “THIS THING IS AWESOME!” as it sliced across two lanes—left to right—with this cautiously confident swagger, threading through knotted traffic clusters like they weren’t even there. Every move was calculated, safe, never aggressive, yet somehow menacingly precise: a targeted, almost cautionary dance that kept us locked at the speed limit while everything else crawled.
I felt like the president on a high-stakes transport—chauffeured with tactical efficiency, gliding through the chaos like a hot knife through butter.
It reminded me of what it must’ve felt like for someone riding a horse for the very first time: placing total trust in a powerful, friendly beast with a seasoned, confident mind of its own. You and the animal move as one—your life in its hands (or hooves), its path shaped by your guidance. Together you become something unstoppable: graceful, precise, efficient, safe. Calculated. Informed. Above it all. Charging forward with quiet, unshakable certainty.
Sitting there in the Cybertruck, I was in absolute awe of what Tesla has built. I looked around at the other cars—humans behind every wheel, vulnerable, exhausted, stressed, white-knuckling their way through the same road. Manually navigating, worrying about every merge, every brake light, every life on the line.
And there I was, carried effortlessly, serenely, by something that saw farther, reacted faster, and never flinched.
That, right there, is the future showing up early.
What a ride. 🚀⚡
