@Spgato_Bomb I think most fans don't realize that if TWRP could've, they would've made The Device disappear like the Pre-Device material. I think the problem is it was too widespread by that point. But they wanted to basically start fresh with 2Nite.. The best option was the retirement show.
There were some demos. I have a very simple demo of Fun Rack, that's as far as any of those era tracks went. They were written in late 2012 & by Bombu Tron's departure in Jan 2014 those tracks got retired, as they didn't have the ability to preform them to their full potential.
Honestly? Nope. TWRP were definitely more goofy high school/college kids with their humor and "vibes"(cause they were) when they first started, but they've always been kind & had their hearts in the right place. I think thats pretty evident of the fan base they've accumulated.
And it's not screenshots or photos saved off their accounts. It's decades of collecting & research both physical and digital. data: EX: comprehensive lists of almost every show they've played since starting in 2007, flyers, posters, stories, interviews, albums of unseen media.
I've spent 16 years preserving & archiving their history. I don't claim to know everything, but yes I have a large knowledge of TWRP & their history. It sucks I can't share all of it out of respect for them, but I don't think anyone truly understands how much I have in my files.
And I just don't see that happening. And that's where my mixed emotions sit..
But none the less I'm very interested to see how this plays out and I look forward to the live album and all that comes from this.
Here's to another 1000 years..
Not attending, due to schedule conflicts.
I've been hesitant to make any comments to be honest.. I'm absolutely interested, but have not exactly felt excited? Unfortunately

I'm sure it will amazing, weather or not it's going to be an evening with key points on their history is where I feel it will likely fall short. While I'm not expecting them to bust out Pre-Device material, I think it's worth finding a small way to honor it for those who lived it
@MeouchFailure@MayMiyasfool The mural is actually in Phoenix AZ! By the very talented Maggie Keane! They wore those track suits basically the whole tour, so there's photos from all over.
fuck my life. the local bridge troll just found out about toll booths. he’s set up on the interstate stopping each car until they answer his riddles. traffic is absolutely fucked im gonna be so late to work dude god dammit
@MeouchFailure Could be worse lol one of the last times I went to Halifax I was like 12 in 2009, I missed seeing TWRP by one week. I saw a show at their local all ages club the day before I went home.. I didn't know about them till 2010..
Hey, beyond every dark cloud there is a bright blue sky!
@MeouchFailure And I thought my childhood was crazy lol
