Expert sessions on the health implications and consequences of #DrugAbuse were facilitated by the DSARC Chairman Pharm A. Esom-Ibe @Agbomma6,

of drug free club, policies on drug abuse, training of staff.

This was followed by the unveiling of the billboard strategically located at the entrance of the school with strong key message on the far reaching consequences of #DrugAbuse.

We kicked off with an advocacy visit to the VC, Prof. O. Onuchukwu & the school management team to gain their commitment to take a stand with us against #DrugAbuse in a sustainable manner. Key areas highlighted by the state PSN Chairman, Pharm P. Anele are the inauguration

On Monday the Drug & Substance Abuse Reduction Committee (DSARC) of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria @psn_rivers marked the International Day against #DrugAbuse and Illicit Trafficking at the Ignatius Ajuru University in partnership with the Benoni Lawson Foundation.

Non Communicable Disease (NCDs) in adolescents is real.
About 4% had high blood pressure readings & one had a significantly high random blood sugar level.
A few were either underweight or overweight. More attention should be paid to NCDs prevention
