One thing is certain, now we have managed to Get Britain Out of the European Union, we cannot allow our global ambitions to be neglected, and in an ever-evolving trade market, we must be ready to be flexible to new trends and opportunities around the world.https://t.co/RpxjElGF22
Giving children false information about how their great nation is rigged against them is a form of abuse.
No one has the right to kill an innocent child's sense of aspiration, agency and belonging in the name of so called 'anti-racist' education.
National Grid tells us system struggling to handle very variable wind power. Large payments to wind farms not to supply at windy times, and days like yesterday or today when there is practically no wind power. We need more grid capacity and more energy storage to make wind work.
Full lifetime CO2 emission studies show that EVs are worse for the environment than petrol or diesel, with a typical EV needing to drive 92,000 miles to reach CO2 emission parity with the petrol-powered equivalent.

Another day of little wind. Gas generating 63% of our electricity, wind 1%, coal 5%. Good job we still have fossil fuel back up to renewables. Time to find more ways of storing wind power for the days of little wind.
The Westminster bubble continues to push on with a net zero agenda whilst showing nothing but disdain for those who question the narrative, argues Jayne Adye, Director of @GetBritainOut

Intriguing comment from No10 today re not having a bilat with Biden today...
"The bilats are chosen based on what we think is useful at that point."
A chat with POTUS is not useful today? 👀
Oh dear.
England has already spent £million on our joint bid to host the Euros in 2028 with Ireland.
Paperwork went in this week…
And the PM has just publicly said it should actually be held in Ukraine.
‘Our Government has failed to hold information on social housing’ – If the Government cannot keep track of simple information, what else is falling through the cracks – and how do we know the system is not being manipulated? asks Jayne Adye.

A tax cutting Chancellor?
Graph kindly provided by @OBR_UK 📉
Even after the penny off income tax, Sunak will add 3.3% to the tax burden as a percentage of GDP.
By 2026/27 that will be the biggest tax burden since the late 1940s - up from 33% in 2019/20 to 36.3%.
We are calling on YouTube to help us support Ukraine by taking down videos doctored by the Russian state and disseminated to try and sap the morale of a people fighting for their freedom 🇺🇦
👇
Tax cuts for some - lowest 70% by income will pay less NI than otherwise, even w/ new levy.
BUT overall tax burden is RISING.
Rishi’s bar on this IFS chart has gone up, not down.
Rise is +3.3%, from 2019-20: 33% of GDP to 2026-27: 36.3% of GDP
Highest since late 1940s👇
Massively growing speculation that Sunak will announce plans to cut income tax by 1p when he delivers his Spring mini-budget at noon... but it will come after whacking up taxes in April and wont come in until eve of election.

The OBR forecast a deficit at least £75 bn higher for this year than it is going to be! So how come the Treasury insists they need an extra £12 bn National Insurance to square the books? They underestimated how much tax we are already paying by a large amount.
