Six years ago today, Cumberland Connect flipped the switch on our very first service zone in Stewart County. We were the new kid on the block, and a lot of people weren't sure what to make of a local internet provider taking on the big guys.

Fast forward to today, and over 45,000 subscribers trust Cumberland Connect as their internet provider. As your local cooperative, we are proud to have built a fiber network that is owned by CEMC members and exists to serve only CEMC members.

Here's something we're proud of: the price you pay today is the same price we launched with six years ago. We've never played the intro rate games or "gotcha" increases after the first year. We simply promised our subscribers a consistent, flat rate for their internet service — and we've kept that promise!

Since then, we haven't stopped building even though our fiber network buildout is complete.
