2nd generation Calgarian. Huge #Stamps & ๐จ๐ฆ๐ fan. Love European travel. Tweet mostly about the #CFL, also #Flames & some politics. Psalms 46:1-3.
4-0 nothing Colorado. And #Flames fans are rejoicing! Better draft odds here we come. (Iโm happy too, but am not team tank. A losing culture among players and coaches can never be acceptable.)
As excited as I was about @cgyscotiaplace before getting a behind-the-scenes tour with our @Sportsnet and @Sportsnet960#Flames broadcast crews, Iโm ๐ฏ times more excited nowโผ๏ธ
I was blown away by the size of the building, the amenities for fans, the facilities for players and the incredible attention to detail that has gone into the interior and exterior design.
Calgary is a world-class city that will have a world-class event centre in 2027!
@Jonathan_Dodson E.g. Romans 1 & 2 - God has revealed himself through 4 Cโs - Creation, Commandment (Jews), Conscience (Gentiles), and finally and most fully in Christ (resurrected)
@Jonathan_Dodson ๐งต6) Spending the majority of preparation and study time unearthing content, but not enough time focused on thinking through communicating that content and then refining the communication approach
According to much hyper-charismatic theology, Jesus exclusively did miracles "as a man" so that we could "do everything that he did."
If this were true, when Jesus calms the wind and waves, we would expect his disciples to say, "Awesome! We get to do this too!!"
Instead, they say...
"Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!โ (Matt. 8:27)
Notice the text does not say, "Even the wind and the waves obey the Holy Spirit upon Him!"
The wind obeys "him." The unique, divine Son of God: one person with two natures which are "without confusion, without change, without division, without separation."
Here we have a clear miracle that testifies not to what we can do, but to what the divine Son of God alone can do.
Or take Matthew's second testimony:
"...the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, โTruly you are the Son of God.โ (Matthew 14:32)
Jesus was transfigured not to demonstrate that all of His followers could one day have their own "glory portal" opened up over them.
He was transfigured to demonstrate His utter pre-eminence as the God-man.
While Jesus did model dependence on the Spirit in His incarnation, He also modeled His unique authority and prerogatives as the son of God and creator of the universe.
More lunacy from Alberta's top separatist.
He wants to "landlock BC"๐คก by blocking every truck and train entering Alberta from BC for weeks. Huh?
That's a recipe for economic chaos.
- Massive shortages of everything we import from Asia, from industrial components critical to the energy industry, to most consumer goods on the shelves of your local Canadian Tire or Walmart;
- Reciprocal blockades of goods heading to BC ports, including the vast majority of the prairies' agricultural exports, coal, lumber, chemicals, potash, etc.;
- Possible force majeure by the federal government, owner of the TransMountain Pipeline, to reduce oil shipments, jeopardizing up to $20 billion in Alberta exports.
All of which would mark Alberta as a banana republic in the eyes of both importers and exporters, resulting in long term higher prices as a risk premium for import contracts, and lower prices to secure export contracts.
Not to mention ruining countless businesses in Western Canada with whom we have no grievance.
This is weapons grade stupidity.
We are right to be proud Albertans, and frustrated with Ottawa and the BC NDP.
But we are way too smart to commit economic suicide.
@Fan960Steinberg Andersson acknowledging the crowd and hugs from teammates as they left the ice certainly gave one the impression that yesterday was likely going to be his last game as a Flame.
@boehmerB Most Albertans strongly agree with the Premier - and want a united Canada. Sadly both Trudeau PMs have been very divisive. Carney deserves credit.
