If you have to down talkingly explain gender theory to someone that just wants to play your fantasy game then you're not being political, you're being annoying.
If you're trying to make real world politics be paralleled in your near future world for your game and you change names just enough where it still sounds like the real world parallel, you're not being political, you're showing your lack of creativity
There's a reason Heinlan and Orwell were able to write such powerful politically charged scifi. It's why Lewis and Tolkien were able to write Christian allegory so well in stories that hold up well for nearly a century and are embraced by secular fans as much as Christian. It's how Kojima, Sakaguchi and Levine were able to take politically charged stories and make them games that hold up decades later when so many of their contemporaries are forgotten in $5 bargain bins.
It's because they have fucking talent.
The industry got too bloated and the tech too complicated. I'll be honest, I hope AI allows the studios to shed the bloat from their teams, keep the passionate devs on and let them use AI tools to help them speed up some of the doldrums of game development that absolutely no one enjoys.
Along with shrinking the teams, it could shrink the time between game launches. We may be able to see entire trilogies released within 6 years again like Mass Effect and Halo were.
I remember seeing the trailer drop for Mass Effect and when it finished, you immediately hit that play button again. You knew you just saw something special and I for one couldn't wait to jump into the ME universe
@GameOverThirty Madden is the COD of ball games and FIFA, or whatever it's called now, is a global juggernaut. There are not enough Mass effect fans to make a dent on EA
@MrDachi87 It's almost like people are tired of $70+ games in general and are noping out for other options
(Which is what Game Pass was designed to counter)
I had to upgrade my PC for Ruins because the CPU was 100mhz below the specs. Imagine my disappointment when I got it running but I'll be grabbing the remaster. While it may have been disappointing compared to BG1 and 2, it's far better than much of what we've gotten from D&D since
T-mobile used to be the "Uncarrier" and grew rapidly as a disruptor of the big 4. Then they became complacent after buying Sprint and became just another carrier. I switched to them because they were different than AT&T and Verizon at the time. Now, I'll be watching the SpaceX mobile service carefully and if they disrupt the industry like they did broadband and Tesla did cars, I'm already sold on switching
