Really excited for the golf season. 2 years of health issues, couldn’t walk a rd, couldn’t play back to back rds, little to no practice. Feeling strong & dialing in the new driver in the learning centre. Snow just needs to stop. Latest start to season I can recall. #lglg
@LouStagner Interesting Masters stat I looked up. Going back to 1957, how often the player in final twosome that didn’t win, but won the following year. 4 of 68. In 1957 The Masters officially moved to twosomes for sat/sun & introduced 36 hole cut so I started with that year.
@MyGolfSpy Robot testing shouldn’t be used for naming the “best club”. It is excellent for learning why clubs perform differently. @CoolClubs testing is very beneficial imho for learning why clubheads perform differently which explains why one head works well for someone but not everyone.
@Nickolgolf I’m for team Europe but yeah I think for future events they should update that rule. Each team having reserve player is the best option imho. Imagine a reserve coming off the bench to capture the winning point for their respective team! How awesome would that be.
@chasingscratch0@CarlsPlace_Golf I see a Carls Place hitting insert. I just replaced my old mat with a Carl’s Place mat and the foam hitting insert. Did he go with the standard, foam or gel insert?
We chatted about the putter for a bit and then our winter golf plans. Similar things have happened before. For example, in an airport pulling my travel golf bag someone has come up to chat golf. Such a universal game played by all ages.
My 2nd @labgolfputters armlock was delivered today. FedEx guy could see what it was and asked me if I could open it so he could take a look. He’d seen and read a lot about lab putters, but had never seen one in hand. Of course I obliged…
@hutch_golf@labgolfputters Also, if you’re positive you’re getting one just order now so it’s in the queue. You can give them your specs afterwards. 5-6 weeks wait right now. I ordered mine 3 weeks ago and got fitting results a week later. Plus the DF3 was released in armlock a week after my order date 😃
@GregChalmersPGA@dicksopengolf Great job on pulling a few punches to send the qualifier into a playoff. You can’t kill a man if he doesn’t have hope… and they had so much hope.
A great protein hack. Yogurt, egg protein powder and a tiny bit of liquid (almond milk, water or whatever). Takes 30 seconds to make and you have a protein pudding. A go to evening snack after a workout or golf if I don’t feel like a shake.
Once again the weather strikes so did some more strike focused work and low point work. 1st pic ball way out on toe, had 1 heavy and 1 heely. 2nd pic way out on heel, had one thin but rest good.
Ball striking has been pretty bad this season & it’s normally my strongest area. Quick practice after work, 10 min technique work then strike focus for 10 min. 5 shots aligned way on toe & heel each. 1 shot/min. I’ll post bad ones too when the occur. #Adamway Now workout & Oilers
Fantastic info. This is basically what I did to improve speed control. I pace off 10,20,30 ft putts (which I figured out at home) and dialed in length of backswing using my back foot as a marker. When not at home course I test out speed using my normal backswings and adjust.
Do you struggle with speed control on the greens?
Perhaps you're speed control is ok at the golf course you normally play, but when you go to new courses where the greens are faster or slower, you really struggle.
In this thread, I'm going to teach you how to improve your speed control
