To provide more time to fix some last minute translation issues (thanks to the reports in the bug tracker!), we are delaying the release of GTG 0.6 by a couple of days. The new target is between the middle and end of the 1st week of March if everything goes smoothly.

The "release candidate" version of GTG 0.6 is out there, and you can try it either from git or our beta flatpak version.

If you are at ease with Git and can compare the version of GTG and liblarch "before and after the fix" with a heavy data set (i.e. thousands of tasks), now is your chance to verify that this occasional bug is indeed fully resolved!

Spent 4h+ tonight trying to reproduce a crasher bug I have on @GetThingsGNOME 0.5 with my heavy task list; unable to trigger it anymore, with any computer, even with the commit "before the fix", so I can't verify the fix.

@LatinCanuck Next version is expected to have a CalDAV sync backend available; any other new (or revived) sync backend would need someone to implement/maintain them

Good news for those who experienced crashes with the @FlatpakApps version of GTG 0.5 lately: investigation at https://t.co/yYONx1sXCI complete, & we're happy to say a fixed @GNOME 40 SDK was published to Flathub today. You can safely run "flatpak update" and GTG should work fine.

@CarlosJDommar @gnome @FlatpakApps That bug is independent of GTG itself, it is the pango library that requires the fix; unfortunately it seems it has not yet been released, so you'll have to use the command mentioned in that ticket to revert your runtime to the version that doesn't cause app crashes.

Whoa, with @GetThingsGNOME 0.5, for the first time ever, my 1200+ tasks launch in 7 seconds. Before upgrading, version 0.4 needed 37 seconds to do the same thing.

Switching between tags is also instantaneous, and so is searching.

I underestimated those perf optimizations 🚀
