In 2019 Govan THI completed restoration of the Govan War Memorial. The project turned out to be full of unexpected turns and we are delighted that Govan Reminiscence Group decided to organise an event and exhibition to mark the occasion!

Sapper James Black of 4th Field Company of Royal Engineers was killed 105 years ago today in Gaza, his wife Helen lived at 47 Queen (Neptune) Street, Govan. James is remembered on Govan War Memorial Roll of Honour on Page 2, Line 2. #AlwaysRemember

George Davidson and Hugh McInnes were both in the Canadian Infantry and both died 105 years ago today, George whose parents lived in Govan is on the Govan War Memorial Roll of Honour and Hugh whose parents also lived in Govan is not. #LestWeForget
