Alright that was a crazy couple launch - let's talk about the WITA experiment (warning: long post).

People argue
Arguments are inevitable. They happen in everyone of our lives. That is absolutely guaranteed - take that to the bank.

However, now most of these are happening online. it's a bloodbath out here, whether its getting an angry text wall from a lover, to a random on X.

And a core problem is, humans are not designed to argue over texts - only 7% of personal communication are the words we day, body language and tone make up the other 93%. so naturally, most arguments over text devolve, and everyone ends up feeling worse.

So that's the set up: human arguments are inevitable, we're not made to understand each other through texts, and there are more, not less text arguments happening in our world.

So we desperately need a solution.

AI as a mediator
In the original post, I shared a story of two random people arguing on X over what a tweet meant. Normally, these interactions end with both sides thinking they are right, and both a little pissed off.

However, this time was different. I shared who Grok thought was right, and that defused the situation. At some level, this is because we know that an AI doesn't really have an agenda - it can be unbiased more than any human might be.

And so an argument turned into a friendship.

That's the vision behind this experiment: can we use AI to augment our personal lives, so that we can understand each other more, and ultimately, argue better.

So... what's next for WITA?
Before I tell you what's in the pipeline for WITA, it's important to define it. WITA is performance art. It's asking the question: what happens if w marry AI (robotic, cold) with very human problems (in this case arguments)

Technology (specifically, Algorithmic feeds) have been tearing us apart for over a decade now - but can technology to help us understand each other, and bring us closer?

Maybe. Let's find out.

Right now, WITA simply lets you analyze a conversation.

But over the coming days, weeks, and months, there will be better social sharing features to help with the virality and growth of the app, and there will also be @whoistheahole bot (renaming/rebranding soon).

See a conversation going south on X? Tag the bot, and it will analyze who is reasonable, who is getting heated, and who is the a-hole. This will be a heavier lift, so bear with me on this vibe-coding summer.

On coins
I will be very clear: my goal is not to pump a coin. That is not the reason for making WITA. I was attracted to @pasternak thoughtful approach of using coins to bootstrap a startup, and have a community that is just as excited to build alongside you.

My goal is to have people use the product, and fall in love with it, talk about it, share it with their loved ones. If I can do that, then score will take care of itself.
