1. The Three Numbers
On a $3,000/mo "full benefit," Social Security will net you:
-> $2,100/mo at 62
-> $3,000/mo at 67
-> $3,720/mo at 70
Waiting until 70 makes your check 77% bigger...
But that's missing the bigger picture.

Obviously a lot of headlines you need to watch out for will be coming out of the conflict in the Middle East

If it makes you feel better, I'll be happy to send you the minuscule SS check I will receive when I (and if) I file. It would literally pay my monthly restaurant bill. Or yours, since you seem to want my money so badly.
If your goal is to reduce government spending, then at least we are in the same camp. But placing blanket blame on the 55+ shows you don't really understand the problem.
Is Medicare a problem? Yes. We need to reduce and reform that program significantly.
Is Medicaid a problem? Yes. We need to reduce that program significantly.
Are welfare and disability programs in general a problem? Absolutely. Not only do they disincentivize people to work (remember COVID handouts and the shit show that led to?), but they are fraught with fraud.
Is SS a problem? Only to the extent that benefits must be reduced to match inflows. And the problem not "government squander or fraud (although I am sure there is some). It is the worker-to-retiree ratio.
Could we reform SS? Yes. Into what is a big question. And for what purpose is another. Does it have aspects of income redistribution built into it? Yes. But it is currently a self-funded program, which is precisely the reason benefits need to be reduced. To match inflows.
If you're suggesting that FICA is simply another tax, OK. Let's look at what happens if SS is repealed. Your part of the FICA contribution goes back into your pocket. The employer portion does not - it goes into private entity profits. So, you took a 50% haircut on your retirement savings if you work for someone else. If you are self-employed (and financially disciplined) you reallocated 100% of that money to a retirement fund.
The SS program is the one single social contract that I believe is worthwhile, necessary and actually provides benefit to the economy. I don't think privatizing it or eliminating it is the answer. But, I am open to discussion and ideas.
What I am not open to is being gaslit by no-context charts and figures that place blame. I could just as easily place blame on generations after me because they chose not to have kids. That entire discussion is completely useless because demographics are a fact that must be accepted into decision making, not a convenient source of data to play the blame game.
So, let's sit down and figure how to make government smaller, reduce spending, and restore sanity to our society. All for that.

These DC/Utility scale deals are extremely complex w multiple stakeholders.
Once the first deal is signed paired with continued field data & scale the next few will be easier. The terminal value of the biz will increase dramatically
Well said on proximity to BK. A lot of the move in equity value is attributed to the recap of the biz. *Think relative cash, strategic partners, interest on debt, NOLs*
The equity value now sits ~45% above where just raised ~$580m in equity. Not including upsized converts w 1.5% interest
All is to say that reference points for recent capital injections make a strong case for continued upside in the equity.
And if mgmt executes/ books out large deals which are contracted demand and basically non cyclical… the mkt will have to price in amaze revs. And those revs will be large and in charge

A few months later, OpenAI is reportedly raising money at a $750bn valuation.
If it can deliver on current projections, not impossible that the company could be worth $2T or more in a few years.
I am very surprised by the lack of reaction #Bitcoin has had to increased global liquidity from the likes of Japan and China.
Typically #Bitcoin is a liquidity sink and responds well to increased global liquidity overall.
This has not been happening, and it baffles me greatly.
