@ismailloooo@Call_me_jewelz Thats actually an important statement correlation may take awhile to show a trend, i still expect that if we had an active culture of publishing medical findings, there probably should have a a couple of findings across different health facilities.
@Call_me_jewelz True, but usually in the absence of figures its hard to tell if there's an actual increase incidence or its merely just one-offs. But 3 in 40 even though anecdotal may still point to a worrying trend
@manLikeKLU@dawudor Sometiem leadership comes with being stern which must be balanced with empathy and clarity to avoid crossing those lines that gives off a toxic or abusive vibes, i think that's where he's often found wanting, that balancing act.
@manLikeKLU@dawudor Yes, I think he made such a statement, but I believe that was premised on the fact that the potential danger of that directive should hv been made know earlier than later flout it 😅
@manLikeKLU@dawudor The Minister may come of like a bully and all other negative things said about his handling of the health sector, but he genuinely means well, his ways may come of unconventional, but our situations aren't the normal ones.
@manLikeKLU@dawudor Rightly said senior. Great submissions from you since we started this conversation. Thank you for your time and breaking the issues down. But I have one last thing, more like an appeal...
@manLikeKLU@dawudor Its now all clear to me, from where I sit and in hindsight, the CEO was justified in his directive and if these are the facts, as I believe they are, the investigation will clear him and the directive can be looked at again and possibly revised.
@manLikeKLU@dawudor The question really is, what prevented the board from challenging the directive when it was made, assuming that this is a listening govt?
@manLikeKLU@dawudor I get your point here too, senior, and i assume u dont suppose at all times blame sometimes can't be visited on health workers. Also based on everything we've discussed and informed perspective you've given, I partially agree with you that it was an "empty directive" then.....
@manLikeKLU@dawudor Yh I've heard the sentiment that the minister should himself manage the hospital, but respectfully thats a stretch, thats akin to saying when the CEO was appointed, he should have turned down the offer if he knew he may not be able to follow all policy directive
@manLikeKLU@dawudor I believe the dilemma being faced here is, the CEO will rather concentrate on saving his current patient and letting go one additional emergency as against trying to add one more emergency case with the hope of potentially saving an additional life.
@manLikeKLU@dawudor I appreciate the kind of Trolley Dilemma health personnel battle on a daily basis. The directive had an inbuilt assumption of saving that one emergency case instead of perilously rejecting it on the pretext of no bed or space.
