@drjoharji1 Since hbA1c is 10% despite adherence to optimised oral antidiabetic therapy, the patient should be started on long-acting insulin. Consider discontinuation or dose reduction of Diamicron due to risk of hypoglycaemia.
@kayan_almajhad There is a good application/website called RemNote where you can write notes and make flashcards simultaneously. You can export the flashcards to Anki or study them on the remnote app.
@AliHassWarrior A pump gives you continuous short-acting insulin around the clock which replaces the need for long-acting insulin. But if you are using insulin pens you will have to take short-acting insulin every other hour to replace long-acting insulin, which is very inconvenient.
@AliHassWarrior I’m assuming by LCD you mean a low-carb diet. If so, you might significantly reduce your basal dose but it's very unlikely that you’ll completely get off Lantus unless you’re in the honeymoon phase.

@drNadaSalma Both. There’s an increasing number of people diagnosed with type 1 DM in adulthood and vice versa for type 2 DM. Unfortunately, because we are often taught that type 1 is a juvenile condition, many adults with type 1 are misdiagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
