Uganda being the most entrepreneurial country in the world is something we need to stop accepting as a compliment but as a concerning state of affairs.
It is 420 days since Eddie Mutwe was abducted. He was tortured while in illegal detention and charged with the offence of unlawful drilling.
The matter before the Kanyanya-Kawempe Magistrates Court has never taken off a year later.

The regime's 7-step-guide to silencing anyone who speaks against it.
Step 1 - Abduct said person
Step 2 - Torture them for days/weeks in a secret location
Step 3 - Drop them off at CPS Kla, Masaka or some other Police station
Step 4 - Have them now formally 'arrested' & arraigned in court on trumped-up charges
Step 5 - Remand them & frustrate any attempts for them to secure bail
Step 6 - Keep them in Prison for days, weeks, months & years
Step 7 - Identify another regime opponent & repeat procedure!
One day we shall be free from this inhumanity.

Hon @JoelSsenyonyi: The question of the lack of resources for medical interns does not arise. The government recently suspended public holiday functions to save money.
We, as parliament, had already passed that entire budget so that money is available, and about UGX 24 billion is going to be saved.
Now that those functions are not going to be held, why don’t we channel that money to the medical interns?

Having a chronic illness will humble you real quick. Imagine paying 75,000 every other week just to see a doctor, on top of medication costs. How many of you can actually sustain that?
Your response can't be 'just go to Mulago, Kiruddu etc" when we question how expensive healthcare is in this country.
How many 'privileged' people have lost their lives over the lack of mere first aid services?
The goal should be a system that excellently caters to all.
When you say, “go where you can afford”, do you know that you sound like the government that you hold so much distaste for when it implied that only the interns who can afford to support themselves should do internship?
why can’t we have more of these 20k places? Why aren’t people going to them instead? The healthcare seeking behavior is influenced by a myriad of things. My own is that instead of trying to be esoteric, we shouldn’t price people out of quality healthcare.
And also dismissively saying, “if you can’t afford it, go to a public hospital” is crazy. One might think you never practiced at a public facility, that you don’t know why one would opt for a private facility in lieu of the “free” one.
Question your whys, be kind guys.
Doctors going up in arms 😅.
When a member of the public community you aim to serve decried a high consultation fee, your job is to not justify why it is 75,000.
You should question a system where they can’t afford this because that system is what makes you 1/
Hi all!
Please help me raise money for Luke, a 13-year-old passionate about STEM, selected to represent Uganda at the Greenwich Olympiad in London this June.
