We're delighted to welcome our newest postdoc, Dr Moheb Gohbrial 🤩
Moheb joins us from ETH Zurich, after his wonderful PhD with @debocklab, Thomas Walchli & collaborators - generating a powerful brain vascular atlas across development, adulthood and disease 🧠
@GhobrialMoheb
🔎 Drs. @ThomasWalchli and @GhobrialMoheb at @KBI_UHN performed single-cell RNA sequencing analysis of #endothelial and other tissue-derived cells from 68 patients to construct a molecular atlas of the control and diseased 🧠 brain vasculature.

@danis1337 our sc-atlas describes the transcriptional heterogeneity of endothelial and perivascular cells across the developing, adult homeostatic, and pathological brain vasculature - including brain tumors (LGG, GBM, metastasis, meningioma) and brain vascular malformations (AVMs).
I am grateful to a great team of scientists that made this work possible
Especially my PhD mentors @debocklab,@garybader1 , Ivan Radovanovic, and @ThomasWalchli with whom I extensively discussed🙏

An international consortium of researchers led by @UHN@KBI_UHN & @UZH_en build first-ever molecular atlas of the human brain’s vasculature, across early brain development, adulthood & disease.

Congratulations @ThomasWalchli@GhobrialMoheb Marc Schwab, Ivan Radovanovic and many others who contributed to this massive effort to map the human brain vasculature across development, adulthood and disease! It has been a pleasure to be part of the team.
