ऐसे ही सत्शिष्य भी मन ही मन गुरु को कुछ अर्पण करते हैं। और गुरु भी गुरु पूनम के बाद शिष्य के जीवन में आने वाले उतार-चढ़ाव में उसकी रक्षा होती रहे, उसका प्रेम कहीं धन में न उलझ जाए, उसका प्रेम परिवार में न रुका रहे, उसका प्रेम देह में न आ जाए, अहंकार का रूप न ले ले, उसका प्रेम परमात्मा तक पहुंचे, ऐसी शुभकामना सतगुरु भी बदले में जिस दिन देते हैं, उसको रक्षाबंधन कहते हैं, राखड़ी पूनम कहते हैं।
