Global Collaboration Against Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)

Honored to have participated in the 4th Global High-Level Ministerial Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This pivotal event brought together leaders from across the globe to address one of the most pressing challenges in global health today: antimicrobial resistance.

The conference theme, “From a Coalition of the Willing to a Coalition of Impact,” emphasized the urgent need to move beyond intentions and commitments toward measurable, impactful actions. Key discussions revolved around:

1️⃣ Enhancing global governance and collaboration.

2️⃣ Promoting responsible use of antimicrobials across human, animal, and environmental health.

3️⃣ Leveraging biosurveillance and biosecurity to enable early detection and prevention.

4️⃣ Fostering innovation in research and development for sustainable health solutions.

5️⃣ Building capacity to ensure equitable access to antimicrobials and diagnostics.

Being part of this critical conversation, where the focus is on transforming ideas into measurable impact, is both humbling and inspiring. I am especially grateful to have been recognized for my contributions to AMR research, which underscores the importance of innovation and collaboration in addressing this global crisis.

Let’s continue working together to safeguard the future of global health.
