Ive always personally thought I love Lucy was funnier than friends, I still think friends is funny and has its hilarious moments, but I've laughed more in the past with Lucy. #paigeaday

The cannibal in Demane and Demazana had such a drawn out and dramatic death, but it ended suddenly and on a weird note. I can accept having your head stuck in mud and suffocating, but turning into a tree stump almost instantly is wrecking my suspention of disbelief. #paigeaday

In the story of Demane and Demazana, the logic behind these cannibals is both twisted and hard core. One girl isn't letting you in because you have a hoarse voice? Well, burn your throat with hot iron, that'll trick her.
The guy actually does it and it works. geez. #paigeaday

To add to one of my previous tweets, I feel like there should be some sort of distance to any pop culture references you make in a story. It only becomes ok when the people reading are either too young to remember/understand, or are too trapped in nostalgia to cringe. #paigeaday

I feel like pop culture references are like death to a story that's not deliberatly taking place in a specific era or time. Stories that dont give a clear time setting will just end up not lasting the test of time, at least not as much as they could have. #paigeaday

As talked about in class, the Hazel Whood makes a lot of references to other fairy tales like in ch.3, "Harold had Captain hook eyes- mournful and cornflower blue, with a phantom glaze of red when he was angry." #paigeaday

The Arabian Night is one of the few stories where the daughter gets willingly put in harm's way with a murderous king. The parent is actually not dooming her like in Rumplestiltskin #paigeaday

(10) In the tale of Bluebeard, Sister Anne is a bit of a troll. Her sister is pleading for her life and asking if she has seen any sight of her brothers, and Anne says, " yeah I see them. Oh wait, it's just some sheep." WTH. #paigeaday

@frenemyofdagods well, as long as it wasn't a tragedy, it could be a comedy. and I dont think dry and bittersweet quality as tragedy. At least I dont think so.
