@wompstompfilms@Timobros The real issue is you always gotta get some on the backend when you work on indie films. It sucks that he didn’t. I feel for him. I still think he’s going about this the wrong way though
@vic_blankenship Yeah I gotta throw in ones sometimes that aren’t the norm but they are so good they need to be seen. Like I was just saying about I Love Boosters last week.
@BadMoodMorgado It’s crazy fortunate lol if he has any vision at he would realize how in demand he will be now if he plays his cards right. But now I think he fucked that up.
@LukeBarnett Yep he lost out on so much potential by making this a thing. It’s how the business works. Most artist toil for many years working multiple jobs to survive until they get a break, if their lucky.
@bdog28232 Yeah that’s pretty much how I feel. I guess I didn’t go in with high expectations like most. So I found it funny which is all I was looking for from it
I had a great time with #Scarymovie I will say it’s much more a 90 min horror sketch comedy then it is a movie, but I was fine with that. I never go see a spoof movie for the plot. But It was the same stupid humor I loved when I was 20 and it still had me busting up now!
If Obsession were made at a big streamer/studio for a low budget ($10 million), Barker would have had to contend with notes and interference. The only absolute lesson here is when you hire talented filmmakers, give them money and then shut the fuck up.
If you are going to #PhoenixFanFusion, make sure you stop by our #Tremors comics booth in the 1600 row!
Crazy being an actual guest at a con as big as this one, I’ll tell you that much!
@WittyKumar Maybe I know this might sound crazy but people just like different things. Your opinion just like mine isn’t the right opinion just simply ours.
@WeWatchedAMovie Yeah I enjoyed it, I think people are way over criticizing it. The audience in my theater were all laughing their asses off. I don’t know what more then that anyone would want from this movie.
@WeWatchedAMovie@DCUBrief My guess is they know they have to add a lot of CG to this scene and him staying plenty far away gives more room to play with it without color bleed and over lay. Also it’s probably a shot that has a specific camera angle in mind.
"Backrooms" director Kane Parsons says that using AI "defeats the purpose" of filmmaking:
“If I could snap my fingers and make generative AI disappear forever, I probably would. Creatively, I get no enjoyment from using those tools. It defeats the purpose entirely for me.”

@EpicFilmGuys@noahgittell@HunterBVideo They also had a different show. There are still plenty of people fallowing that model. If you don’t like that type of style then I know this might sound crazy but maybe just maybe don’t watch it 😂
