Naoki Hamaguchi says he is working towards making a physical edition of FF7 Relevation happen!
“Personally, I’m in favor of physical editions. Nothing makes me happier than those moments at community events when fans bring their games for me to sign. I’d be a little sad if the culture of keeping games physically and sharing those memories gradually faded away…
As for FFVII Revelation, I’m aware that, following SIE’s announcement, some fans have become concerned that the game might end up being a digital-only release.
While this is all I’m able to share at this time, given the current stage of FFVII Revelation’s development, a complete change in direction would be difficult for us, therefore, we are actively exploring the possibility of releasing a physical retail version.
That said, every platform has its own regulations, whether that’s support for Game-Key Cards or media capacity limitations. Right now, we’re discussing internally how to best preserve the game’s quality while also meeting fans’ expectations.
Personally, I’d like to continue working toward making a physical edition happen.”

I’ll fight for this until the very end, no matter what.
Almost 2k comments from people praising Versus and 800k+ views prove there's still huge interest in it.
I'm trying to find help to save it. If you could share the post, I'd appreciate it so much! 💙

Good news, WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is officially getting a sequel.
505 Games has partnered with Xia Siyuan, the original creator of WUCHANG, and his new studio, Indolphinity, to develop the next chapter of the series.
The original game reached over 130,000 concurrent players on Steam at launch and has since surpassed 5 million players across PC and consoles.
The sequel is currently in the pre-production phase. Indolphinity will lead development, while 505 Games will fund the project and handle global publishing. Development will remain based in China.
“We listen closely to the real voices of players and the community, and we remain firmly devoted to our original creative aspirations and cultural foundations, striving to answer everyone’s long-standing expectations with more polished quality and a more complete experience.”
FF7 Revelations Director Hamaguchi is trying to push for some sort of physical edition for the third installment when it releases.
He says "I can't say anything particularly definitive at this point in time. But I am working to make the arrangements to allow us to have some kind of physical edition."
He goes on to mention that people bring physical items to community events, such as FanFest, for autographs, and he thinks "it's a wonderful culture and it would be a shame to lose that. I want that to remain."
Hamaguchi the GOAT!!! Bring back physical please 😭
why would all of them conveniently have that.
why did each of them say "hey we did not draw this sexy because we got told to, other wise we would have"
why did they all say that
why was it approved for translation
why was it left in
why was it sent to print
is that not the most fascinating thing????
is anyone else not amazed by this???? it reads like a cry for help? why share this. why admit to it.
The developers behind Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 say they pushed hard to give the game a physical release, even though making discs is getting more difficult.
Producer François Meurisse called the move away from physical games "sad." He said there's something special about owning a game you can hold, put on your shelf, and come back to years later.
To him, games are works of art, and physical copies help preserve them.
The team admitted that releasing games on disc is more expensive and complicated, especially for a smaller studio. But they still felt it was worth it because they knew a lot of players still care about physical editions.
They also said the industry is clearly moving toward digital, but they hope physical games don't disappear completely.
As long as people want to collect and preserve games, they believe physical releases should still have a place.

"Personally, I find it super sad... I mean, business-wise, I can understand why it may make sense, but I think in terms of the artistry of video games, it’s a sad decision." - Guillaume Broche, Sandfall Interactive CEO and Creative Director

Hamaguchi showed the FF7 Remake series trailer for the first time ever at FFXIV EU FanFest, and it's such a beautifully made trailer that made me tear up.
Even Yoshi-P compliments saying "wow this series is truly so well developed."
I cried omg, we've come a long way😭
My brother who hasn’t turned on his PS3 or used PSN in over 10 years decided to boot up his ps3 to play something that is currently DOWNLOADED on the console.
Licenses are expired and his PSN account is deleted. So games are gone forever
