How to trade memecoins without getting rekt
1. Find a Good Entry
- Look for $10K-$100K market cap coins with locked liquidity and no sketchy holder distribution.
- Use GMGN, Photon, or Pumpfun to scan fresh launches
- Never buy the top. Wait for the first dip or sideways action.
2. Follow the Smart Money
- Track whale wallets on Sol Scan-if big buyers are stacking, it's a good sign.
- Check Bubble Maps to see if wallets are connected (avoid dev dumps).
- If insiders start dumping early. don't be exit liquidity.
3. Watch Hype & Narrative Shifts
- Is Crypto Twitter hyping if naturally oris it all paid shits?
- Telegram chat popping off? Real engagement or just bots?
- Follow trending narratives, you need to follow the metas on X.
4. Have an Exit Plan Before You Enter
- Sell in increments. Take profits at 2x, 5x, 10x instead of waiting for the 100x.
- If CT Influencers pushing it hard, start selling.
- Always leave a moon bag but don't get greedy, memecoins die fast.
5. Don't Hold Bags Like an Idiot
- If volume dries up, whales dump, or liquidity disappears, GTFO
- If price nukes -70% in minutes, it's not "just a dip."
- Rule #1: Take profits before someone else takes them from you.
Do not trade new pairs.
Do not ape in because of KOLs.
Do not enter the same trade twice.
Do not revenge trade.
Do not FOMO.
Take profits slowly; do not aim for 2ร or 5ร on every trade.
Do not enter a trade if you donโt understand the lore, story, or narrative behind it.
Journal every trade.
Be patient.
Itโs hard to follow every rule every day, but Iโm improving day by day.
So yeahโthese are most of my rules for now.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated if you guys have any.
You donโt need to win most of your trades to be profitable.
Letโs say your capital is $500 and you take 10 trades in a week.
On each trade, you risk $50. You lose 7 trades, but not to zero, you cut losses early, so your losses are controlled.
Thatโs not up to $350 lost from the 7 bad trades.
Now 3 trades goes well. If each winning trade returns $150 (3R), thatโs $450 gained.
$450 wins โ $350 losses = $100 profit.
Thatโs risk management.
You can lose more trades than you win and still end the week green, as long as you cut losses early and let winners run.
