Just remember that whether you are a Republican, Democrat, Independent, or something else, we are all Americans. In functioning democracies, political parties are able to work together and make deals and forge power sharing arrangements all the time. Thatâs not weakness. Thatâs strength. Right now, in America, I see Democrats saying to Republican âletâs make a dealâ and run a functioning government in the best interest of the country while I see Republicans fight each other, depriving us all of a functioning government, and at the same time compete with each other over who can âown the libsâ more on Fox, on this website, and elsewhere. Thatâs not serious behavior, thatâs not how serious democracies function, and in these most serious times we need serious people. We deserve better. The American people, our allies, and our enemies are all watching.
In 2000, I gave a presentation in high school on Hamas. I showed a video of them teaching young kids to hate Jews. So if you wonder how this happened, it's because this terrorist group has been dehumanizing Israelis for decades. The barbarity of last weekend is the end result.
With a pivotal election just weeks away, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkinâs administration announced that it mistakenly removed eligible voters.
The state's Democrats are calling on the Justice Department to investigate.

Democrats had a slim majority in the House and delivered COVID relief, the biggest climate bill ever, healthcare for vets, infrastructure, manufacturing & more.
The result? See below.
With THEIR slim majority, Republicans canât tie their own shoes.

House Republicans can triple down on MAGA extremism.
Or partner with Democrats to solve problems for America and the world.
The time has come to choose.
Jim Jordan was involved in Trump's conspiracy to steal the election and seize power; he urged that Pence refuse to count lawful electoral votes. If Rs nominate Jordan to be Speaker, they will be abandoning the Constitution. Theyâll lose the House majority and theyâll deserve to.
I know Iâm just a farmer and donât know much bout nothin cept corn and cows, but I do know this, Jim Jordanâs career path must not lead to the Speakership.

TWEEPS!
While Republicans are chronically gripped by chaos, remember DEMs are united, laser-focused, and our progressive policies helped create almost 14 million jobs for Americans!
Can we get 1,000 fast RTs and replies to get #DemocratsDeliverJobsForUS to make sure EVERYONE knows which party is fighting for Americans, and which one is busy fighting each other?
Please and thank you!
@LinHoHi1@BaddCompani Lin, I hear you. Please read the Jack Smith Indicting Documents. You will sleep better tonight than you have done for 8 years. Please read them. This first is Espionage-A-Lago (the superseding indictments included)

On the plus side for Republicans who just want this over: If Jim Jordan can't get to 217 votes, he could just stage a coup.
He's got some experience plotting those.

A Speaker-less House means no legislation can move forward. From the bipartisan HOME Act, which would help homeless veterans, to supplemental aid to our allies, Congress cannot meet the needs of this moment. @HouseGOP's chaos has wide reaching impacts both at home and abroad.

Robert De Niroâs statement on Donald is perfect. Please read it:
âIâve spent a lot of time studying bad men. Iâve examined their characteristics, their mannerisms, the utter banality of their cruelty. Yet thereâs something different about Donald Trump.
When I look at him, I donât see a bad man. Truly.
I see an evil one.
Over the years, Iâve met gangsters here and there. This guy tries to be one, but he canât quite pull it off. Thereâs such a thing as âhonor among thieves.â
Yes, even criminals usually have a sense of right and wrong. Whether they do the right thing or not is a different story â but â they have a moral code, however warped.
Donald Trump does not. Heâs a wannabe tough guy with no morals or ethics. No sense of right or wrong. No regard for anyone but himself â not the people he was supposed to lead and protect, not the people he does business with, not the people who follow him, blindly and loyally, not even the people who consider themselves his âfriends.â
He has contempt for all of them.
We New Yorkers got to know him over the years that he poisoned the atmosphere and littered our city with monuments to his ego. We knew first hand that this was someone who should never be considered for leadership.
We tried to warn the world in 2016.
The repercussions of his turbulent presidency divided America and rattled New York City beyond imagination. Remember how we were jolted by crisis in early 2020, as a virus swept the world. We lived with Donald Trumpâs bombastic behavior every day on the national stage, and we suffered as we saw our neighbors piling up in body bags.
The man who was supposed to protect this country put it in peril, because of his recklessness and impulsiveness. It was like an abusive father ruling the family by fear and violent behavior. That was the consequence of New Yorkâs warning getting ignored. Next time, we know it will be worse.
Make no mistake: the twice-impeached, 4-time indicted Donald Trump is still a fool. But we canât let our fellow Americans write him off like one. Evil thrives in the shadow of dismissive mockery, which is why we must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously.
So today we issue another warning. From this place where Abraham Lincoln spoke â right here in the beating heart of New York â to the rest of America:
This is our last chance.
Democracy wonât survive the return of a wannabe dictator.
And it wonât overcome evil if we are divided.
So what do we do about it? I know Iâm preaching to the choir here. What weâre doing today is valuable, but we have to take today into tomorrow â take it outside these walls.
We have to reach out to the half of our country who have ignored the hazards of Trump and, for whatever reason, support elevating him back into the White House. Theyâre not stupid, and we must not condemn them for making a stupid choice. Our future doesnât just depend on us. It depends on them.
Letâs reach out to Trumpâs followers with respect.
Letâs not talk about âdemocracy.â âDemocracyâ may be our holy grail, but to others it is just a word, a concept, and in their embrace of Trump, theyâve already turned their backs on it.
Letâs talk about right and wrong. Letâs talk about humanity.
Letâs talk about kindness. Security for our world. Safety for our families. Decency.
Letâs welcome them back.
We wonât get them all, but we can get enough to end the nightmare of Trump, and fulfill the mission of this âStop Trump Summit.ââ
