@D1gitaldictator I mean it's not like it isn't wrong, trans people get slimed out pretty often in actuality because not everyone is cool with it. I mean oppression is oppression, being oppressed is awful no matter the level of oppression.
@emmywayne64 -How to bend without hands, Unalqq learned how to bend spirits with water alone. Korean was taught by katarra but she was also later taught by Toph and lost to kuvira. Her teachers weren't in their prime and Korra's fighting style isn't very graceful, so water would be good but..
@emmywayne64 I'd agree but in most cases idk if the other fought exceptions to the rule of those elements. Like Kyoshi had to fight someone who could bend one element like 3 and she was struggling with earth. Amon was grommed to be the best blood bender, Hwang had no hands so she had to-
@Eleven__11XI You could always not the show. But on a serious note, I'm more upset they didn't explain this better in Korra, they kinda skipped over it and it was REALLY important in LAB it's weird that they dropped it, I hope they explain it better in this
@Wokenessisevil But they do. And it's not that much of an issue as you make it out to be, kids understand how being gay works. That due likes that other dude, and it's not like it's important to the story, they just have it there
@LifuLifuVT It makes sense that she's self taught. In the show she's been along for three years watching other adult benders bend. It's a kid learning to fight via watching martial art videos but not having any punching bag. She can move the elements but Aang had a different journey. Pavis 2
@LifuLifuVT@kitsuragi_k They never took martial arts out of avatar. I see that complaint a lot and it's just wrong. People said that with korra as if they took it out, they just Korra is a kick boxer, at worst the martial art is MMA now so it's traditional but mixed. Pavi hasn't mastered anything.
@Skylewalker@hayasaka_aryan I guess but in ATLA brown people where in that and disabled people as well. Repping a minority is tricky because it can either just be something they are or it can be the character. And that's not what they're doing here at all in this show
@VictusThraex Who is she better than? Like out of all the avatars she wouldn't be able to beat any of them at this age. Hell Aang and Korra would cook Pavi at 9. She hasn't mastered anything, she sucks at bending, like hella sucks. I sense fraud
@SDzogbenu Not really, in the show it's shown that she watches other benders and sloppily copies them. Aang didn't know how to control fire but he COULD technically firebend. She's also doing the bending stances, her hands are open when she does water, her fist are clothes doing earth, etc.
@Skylewalker@hayasaka_aryan That's a pretty weird stance to take because gay people being shown doesn't bother me cause that's stupid to have it affect me. But the protag isn't really anything 'cept like an abandoned child. So I'll keep you posted
@HylianRailgun I agree with the sentiment but not with the characters you're using. Just like Aang and korra, all avatars can bend the elements. Now Pavi can bend them but she isn't a 'competent' bender. Like at all, she kinda sucks, being able to move the elements is one thing MASTERING is not
@LegMan100 I mean correct. But in this case, the bending isn't good. Like yeah she CAN bend these elements but Aang could bend fire and water without trying. She's kinda ass at bending, like she can bend them all but has the skills of a child in all the styles.
@MetlheadFox @B2LLASTIC I mean yes it is, but adults also consume the content that's what the bar for the chaos club was for. It was +18 for a reason my only gripe is the chaos club wasn't resticted for 18+ only stream, but even then parents should be keeping tabs on what they're children watch.
@Sparkpoodle1 I mean, Pavi has been on the run from people for like 3 years she probably learned how to bend from watching adults, korra was a tot when she was bending 3 elements. Short answer aang's story was about learning the elements pavi's is probably something different. Not a master tho
@Skylewalker@hayasaka_aryan A couple things rq, that is an Asian person. There are no black people in avatar, I'm pretty sure most if not all of them are asian or native like inuk and what not. 2 the show is good, the kid isn't gay I'm pretty sure they're focusing on her being alone separated from her sis.
