@Twisted7611@Jamespoulton@narindertweets But they’re not hotels any more. They used to be hotels. The hotels closed down. It’s now basically a roof over peoples heads. The solution is to process quicker so they can work and get different accommodation. Instead they need to wait about six months to review the application
@Twisted7611@Jamespoulton@narindertweets So it isn’t true. The “hotels” are the likes of bunk beds and very little to spend on food. They legally can’t work.
The hotels started because they created a backlog and cut asylum staff. They thought it would deter people. It was never going to.
Get more staff. Process quicker
@Twisted7611@Jamespoulton@narindertweets They can be accepted, though, and how they got here plays no part on if the application is successful or not.
The right wing Tory government created the issue by making it more difficult to apply. It doesn’t mean people can’t and won’t apply. They created the boat crisis.
@Twisted7611@Jamespoulton@narindertweets Why do *genuine* asylum applicants take that drastic route to come across on a boat?
If you think they should take any other steps, explain the application process they should take.
@Twisted7611@Jamespoulton@narindertweets We’d be going round in circles.
Look I want people to be processed quickly. Genuine asylum seekers get accepted and can contribute. The bad ones, turfed out quickly.
Asylum seekers are less likely to harm women. Many studies prove this. It’s humane to look after the vulnerable.
@Twisted7611@Jamespoulton@narindertweets I agree with the sentiment. The best way to do that is to stop the needless wars. Then other countries people won’t feel the *need* to come here.
We both probably want same things. My way is a more humane, and importantly more likely to succeed, way to do that.
@Twisted7611@Jamespoulton@narindertweets What parts?
I’ll admit I’m a leftie. You got that right. No mums basement. The rooms in the attic.
What did I get wrong about you?
@Twisted7611@Jamespoulton@narindertweets You’re*
You’re an embarrassment.
I can make some guesses about you. You’ve never been able to please a partner. You blame everyone else for the fact you’re lonely when a little shower and a change of your bigoted views would help.
You like Tommy Robinson who is a criminal. Yes?
@Twisted7611@Jamespoulton@narindertweets You’ve made assumptions, some of which are wrong, based on nothing other than me embarrassing you.
I’ve used the words you’ve used to deduce that you’re a right wing racist who has no idea how immigration works. I’ve tried to get you informed but you weren’t able to read. Thicko
@Twisted7611@Jamespoulton@narindertweets Nobody would read this exchange and come away thinking I’m the embarrassing one.
You can just leave it there and not reply and everyone could read this and conclude you’re a neanderthal with zero brainpower and your only thoughts are about being a racist xo
@Twisted7611@Jamespoulton@narindertweets You’re the one that used that hypothetical, which was fucking moronic, and it fell apart at the first couple of questions.
To reiterate. Your stupid hypothetical. You brought it up. You’re the one who couldn’t defend it.
I can smell your desperation to change the goalposts.
@Twisted7611@Jamespoulton@narindertweets Cool. And then you must stop there, even though you can claim asylum in any country in the world?
Do you can pick *any* country and wouldn’t pick somewhere you have family/speak the language etc?
It’s a ridiculous argument you’re having that is stupid and unrealistic.
