@GrzeMazurowski@gunthera_mws Dang my list of favourite false friends just grew:
Kawior (ikra works too no?) = Ikra
Dywan = Kavjor
Sofa = Deewan
But my fav fav is this ukr - pl - ru triangle:
harbuz - dynia - tykwa
where arbuz is watermelon in pl and ru and dynya is melon in ru and ukr.
Fuck Putin & Russia
@denisyurchak I like how the outcome of a monologue on how difficult it is to come as a tourist is used as an argument to how difficult it is to live here, fckn hilarious
@hellogugunim Feel free to spit in the face of the person who handwrites like this. It's a like a secret signal for people with a kink of being spat in the face. In states they have different colour cloths in the back pocket and in Russia we have this.
@NurderK Multiple stories of russian protesters getting raped with working wasserkocher or being electrocuted into confession of governmental treason after arrest are not something you are aware of, right?
@fwg0308 Its like that in majority indo-european languages, some lost it though and some that kept have lost neutral linguistic gender, really interestingly that although our languages got the concept of grammar gender from ancestor language, same words and concepts have different genders
@jameswebb_nasa Besides the community note that just destroys the OP, IMO the reason for such posts is that we are just really bad at football compared to Brasil and our club system relies on governmental money solely so there's a lot of corruption and our prodigies simply die in academy system
@nixon1972viet@Panda_Amatias Man, natives mostly were born into doing those cases and people learning it as a second language (especially if their mother tongues or languages they know are distant to Russian) find it so complex. I think most natives would be forgiving to messed up cases or mumbled endings
@yuuu_xrp I'd say if any people are learning niche ones not for a specific goal to immigrate than mostly they are tiny but different from other people. I wouldn't say that they are necessarily weird but just less typical people do it
@LyuBunnyHelena Also I meant that it looks like you put effort into writing while natives usually don't bother with curling everything and want to write stuff quick. For example that little curl before you start the body of "з", or putting dots on top of ё (I do respect dots on top of ё myself)
@LyuBunnyHelena Man ngl in 21st century Russian handwrite rarer than before and modern kids (I'm 25 and part of the group) have somewhat of a worse skills at it. I would say if I saw it randomly without context I wouldnt thought it's not a native writing, just may be a little too fancy not quick
@growing_daniel They have never been outside of Russia. Vast majority have never been and only encountered Russian speaking Internet where if some foreigner comes that have learned Russian, has some radical opinions or whatever. Also thanks to Russian propaganda
