@morgannike49@Artemisapphire Ballistic missiles often use inertial navigation initially, switching to Astro navigation (using fixed stars) for course correction later in the boost phase. Also the warhead « bus » can course correct later before warhead release (again Astro) so can be very accurate.
@ShelaghFogarty@suzanne_moore Yes. I think “apocalypse” meant a revealing of “reality” that was only available to a God. And thus needed a lifting of the veil to be available to humanity. I think there are apocalypses of interplanetary travel for example.
@malcolm_reavell@Tired_ofit_All@afneil I am a fan of MMT! The trouble I think, is you’d need to replace the Bank of England’s monetary discipline with an OBR fiscal discipline. But MMT is the way out of our current problems I think.
