Myth: you need to be a math wizard to hack the web.
Truth: you need curiosity and a half-decent notepad.
That's it. That's the whole secret.

You claim you want to learn cybersecurity yet you give excuses about resources.
Nothing has to be perfect.
Not a fancy certification to begin.
Not a $1,000 course to practice.
Or even the “perfect” setup.
All you need is your laptop, phone, an internet connection, and the decision to start today.
Every day you delay, someone else is learning, practicing, and moving closer to the career you say you want.
Stop waiting for the “right time.”
Stop blaming the lack of resources.
Stop making excuses.
Start now. Learn now. Improve now.
You don’t need a mentor to start.
How to search for remote jobs by company size (startup vs enterprise strategy)
Applying for a remote job at a 10-person startup using the same strategy as a 5,000-person enterprise is a recipe for silence.
The platforms you use, the type of your CV, and even who you talk to must shift based on the size of the room you're trying to enter.
If you want to stop shouting into the void, you need to master these two distinct playbooks:
1. The Startup Playbook (1–50 Employees)
✓ The Goal: Show you can handle chaos and wear multiple hats.
✓ Where to Search: Skip LinkedIn. Go to Wellfound (formerly AngelList) or Y Combinator’s "Work at a Startup." These platforms are designed for founders who value speed and direct access.
✓ The Filter: On Wellfound, use the "Distributed teams only" toggle. This filters for companies that have no physical office, meaning they won't suddenly ask you to relocate in six months.
✓ The Outreach Strategy: Don't wait for a job post. Look at the "People" tab on LinkedIn. Find the Founder or the Head of Operations. Send a message that identifies a specific problem they have (e.g., “I noticed your checkout flow has a bug, I’ve fixed similar issues for X brand.”).
2. The Enterprise Playbook (500+ Employees)
The Goal: Show you can follow systems and fit into a structured hierarchy.
✓ Where to Search: Focus on FlexJobs, Ottah, and LinkedIn (using the "Remote" filter). Large companies pay for these premium job boards because they need high-volume, pre-vetted talent.
✓ The Timezone Filter: Enterprises are obsessed with Overlap Hours. They rarely hire Worldwide unless they have a local entity in your country.
Search for "EMEA" (Europe, Middle East, Africa) if you are in Nigeria to ensure you match their 9-to-5 synchronous requirements.
✓ The Outreach Strategy: Don't DM the CEO - they won't see it. Instead, find the "Talent Acquisition Manager" or a "Peer" (someone already doing the job you want). Ask for a Referral Link.
Most enterprise companies have internal referral bonuses, people are literally incentivized to help you get hired.
I asked 10+ top bug hunters who made over $500k+ about their secrets.
Here’s what they said:
1. They work insanely hard (280+ hrs/month) even after earning millions.
2. They master 1–3 programs deeply.
3. Speed matters. Never break your momentum.

If I’m being honest, I’ve trained almost 100 people in cybersecurity, and one thing that’s common across board is you think you’d hit it big at once.
Well, I’m not going to bring bad news to you, but it’s a crazy field.
You’d have to love it. Because it’ll test your patience.

Attention @kalilinux users! In the coming day(s), apt update is going to fail for pretty much everyone.
The reason? We had to roll a new signing key for the Kali repository. You need to download and install the new key manually: https://t.co/Lrx05NhcOx
