Every Nigerian President since Obasanjo has faced serious security challenges.
Obasanjo faced with Niger Delta militancy and ethno-religious crises and a Boko Haram that was just waking up.
Yar’Adua faced militancy and the emergence of Boko Haram.
Jonathan battled a full-blown Boko Haram insurgency. Buhari confronted terrorism, banditry, mass kidnappings, and separatist violence.
Tinubu inherited many of these long-standing security problems. Whether one supports him or not, it is important to acknowledge that insecurity in Nigeria did not start in 2023.
The real question is not who inherited the problem, but who is taking meaningful steps to solve it.
I will support Asiwaju over and over again because rather than making excuses for what he inherited, he is taking action. Leadership is not about blaming the past, it’s about solving problems.🚶🏿♂️
