Hi! I’m Billy🐾🐾! I heard that you’re looking for a dog?

I’m a 1-year-old terrier/hound mix, and I’ve overheard my foster💕 call me a ‘big, loving goofball’. I’m not 100% sure what that means, but here is what I do know about myself:

I am very talented, for instance: I do a signature pony-like prance when I’m excited. It’s very popular with the ladies.

My hobbies include going on walks and spending time outside. I can be independent and play with my Lamb Chop toy on my own, or we can play tug-of-war together! If you need to focus, I will happily accept a Kong filled with peanut butter. My foster💕 says that I’ve ‘been a dream’ to house-train and sleep all night in my crate.

I love playing with my foster’s💕 dog and neighborhood pups. Apparently, I get a little jumpy when I’m excited, but hey, we can’t all be perfect.

I see a squirrel right now, so I have to wrap this up. Here is your official 4-step guide to changing my life (and yours):

Meet Pogo🐾🐾 💜!

This goofy little girl came to us after being found near Gabe’s and will be available for adoption tomorrow! She’s about 6 months old and packed full of puppy joy, wiggles, and BIG personality 🎉

Her name says it all… because Pogo🐾🐾 doesn’t just walk into a room—she bounces in 😂🐶💥 She gets SO excited for attention that she can’t help but spring right up to say hello. We’re working on her enthusiasm (because manners matter… even when you’re this adorable 😄💜), but honestly… it’s hard not to laugh when she does it.

And you’ll notice her immediately… because she has ears for days 👂😂💫 Big, perky, stand-straight-up ears that make her look like she’s always 100% tuned in to whatever fun is happening.

Once she gets her zoomies of excitement out, she actually walks really nicely on a leash 🚶‍♀️✨ and loves going for strolls. She enjoys the water 🌊, loves being out and about, and is always ready for her next adventure.

She’s also done well with other dogs 🐕💛 and we’ll be doing a cat test soon to see how she feels about feline friends 🐱🤞

It’s sad to think she was left behind in a dangerous situation, but she’s safe now—and ready for a fresh start with someone who will appreciate her silly, happy spirit and guide her as she grows.

Foster💕 to Adopt Home Needed for River🐾🐾❤️

River🐾🐾 3 or 4 yr old Rough Collie is looking for a foster💕 to adopt❤️ home in the Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake area.

River🐾🐾 spent years living in conditions no dog should ever experience, surrounded by filth and without the love and companionship every dog deserves. Despite that, he is one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet. When you call his name, he happily comes over for cuddles and affection. He loves people and has a genuinely kind heart.

Because of his past and current medical needs, we are looking for a very specific home.

🐾 Must live in the 757 area and have at least 1 other dog near his size. and be able to lift him into a car.

🐾 Must be willing to use our veterinarian and attend follow-up appointments

🐾 6 foot fenced yard required

🐾 No children under 12

🐾 No cats or birds

🐾 Must have a young but steady canine companion

🐾 Stay-at-home, or work-from-home home preferred

🐾 Must be able to provide multiple meals throughout the day

🐾 Must be willing to provide updates on his progress

River🐾🐾 arrived severely underweight and is still recovering. He currently lacks the muscle tone needed to properly support his joints and ligaments, making him more vulnerable to injury. He is not yet healthy enough to be neutered, which is why this placement is foster💕 to adopt❤️. We anticipate neuter surgery will be considered sometime around August if his recovery continues as expected. Other than being underweight and no muscle tone he has no other medical issues.

He is learning house training, manners, and all the things most dogs learn as puppies. River🐾🐾 struggles when left alone for long periods and we do not want him returning to the fears and insecurities created by his previous life. He currently sleeps in a large exercise pen and is doing well with that arrangement.

His ideal family will be patient, loving, and committed to helping him continue healing. As River🐾🐾 gains strength, he is going to be an active young dog who will want walks, adventures, and to be included in everyday family life.

We especially encourage previous Coastal Sheltie Rescue adopters in the local area to consider fostering💕 River🐾🐾. Familiarity with our program and expectations can make this transition even smoother for him.

We are also seeking additional foster💕 homes and will be introducing a female collie in need of foster💕 care in the coming days.

🆘🐾 — Urgent Senior Plea 🐾🆘

- Two Seniors in Desperate Need — 🐶🐶💔

We are urgently seeking homes for two senior Shar Pei–Pitbull mixes.

Originally thought to be around 6, we now believe they are closer to 10–13 years old.

Both are heartworm positive, and while we are ready to begin treatment, we do not want them to start it in the shelter. They need quiet, stable homes where they can safely begin recovery.

- Their Background — 🌧️🏚️
Their former owner cared for them, but due to limited resources and lack of education, they lived outdoors their entire lives, which led to their heartworm status. We’ve received two different stories — they may be brother and sister or dad and daughter — but what we know for certain is that they are not bonded.

- Separate Homes Preferred — 🐾💛
While they walk well together and coexist without issue, they do squabble like many family members do, and we strongly prefer they go to separate homes. Each senior deserves their own peaceful space and individualized attention in their golden years.

- Their Temperament — 🐕‍🦺✨
Both seniors are:
- Good with calmer dog companions with proper introductions
- Easy to walk
- Housebroken in their kennels
- Up to date on all vaccinations
All they need is a safe, loving home to finally rest and decompress.

- Why This Is So Urgent — ⏳💔
At their age, with heartworm disease and no interest so far, their time at the facility is truly running out. We do not want them to transition from foster to adopter at this stage of life — they need adopters now, people willing to give seniors the dignity, comfort, and compassion they deserve.

We will be sharing a fundraiser to help cover their heartworm treatment, but the greatest need is a home.

These woman don’t understand what strength is. They think it’s talking over someone and “girl bossing” them to death. These are try-hards, who are uncomfortable in this “male” role they’re playing. SCOTUS has posted an announcement of Opinions, that being Thursday, June 11, at 10am ET. I cleared my calendar and will be available.

What has arisen, especially of the past few days, and is of critical importance in light of what we are all witnessing with the elections in California, is a mail-in ballot case, Watson v. RNC. This ruling, as I expect, will put the nail in the coffin for "grace periods".

Remember, and unfortunately, we do not receive any advanced notice as to which cases will receive rulings. We are at their mercy.

Approximately 14 states need to prepare, therefore, time is of the essence for this Opinion.
