Great thread by @JoshuapTwining on the results of a new paper, confirming that pine martens are pushing back invasive grey squirrels, causing native red squirrels to recover.

But also, crucially, that this is happening in mixed native woodland, not conifer plantations.

@UberFacts I went to college with a guy called Gordon Bennet, my gran had a friend called Annette Ball. One of my friends Tom, has two brothers, Richard and Harry. The dad made a bet with a friend if he had 3 kids that were boys he would call them Tom, Dick and Harry, he stayed true to it.
