وفقاً للقوانين المعمول بها في الدولة، ينقسم المتبرعون بالأعضاء إلى قسمين:

المتبرعون خلال الحياة الذين يمكنهم التبرع بالكلى وجزء من الكبد لل��قارب حتى الدرجة الرابعة، والمتبرعون الذين تعرضوا للوفـاة الدماغيـة، حيث يتـم نقــل أعضــاء المتوفى دماغيــاً لزراعتهــا للمرضــى الذيــن يعانــون من القصور العضوي.​

وهناك ستة أعضاء يمكنك التبرع بها بعد الوفاة!
