@TheCinesthetic Nolan made this call back in 2023, long before Sony's disc news ever dropped. "No evil streaming service can steal it from you" reads like prophecy now.
@Luiz_Fernando_J Italy alone: $3.4M Saturday, up 32.3% from an already strong Friday, $8.5M cume in 3 days. On track to challenge Oppenheimer's opening record, with less days to do it in.
@EmpireCityBO@odysseymovie@UniversalPics@SpiderMan WHILE people were review-bombing it mid-screening from movies they never watched. All the grifting, all the "go woke go broke" predictions, all the manufactured outrage, and it still became one of the biggest openings of Nolan's career. 😭😭
@IGN IGN gave The Hawk a "Bad" 4/10 and honestly they're not alone, critics everywhere are calling it a stretched-thin, hollow imitation of Ferrell's actual classic characters. Ruthless.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
@IGN Woke up to The Batman Part II getting delayed again, six years between films now. At least Reeves dropped real camera test footage of Pattinson's return with the news, and the new date's the same slot Black Panther used. Still stings though.
@DiscussingFilm Jim Parsons wasn't saying "I'll never play Sheldon again," he's opening up about genuinely struggling with self-imposed OCD-level pressure during Big Bang's original run. Either way, homie, idc, we're good, we've got Young Sheldon and the reruns. Take care of yourself.
@IGN Game of Thrones: War for Westeros delayed to early 2027, officially for combat/hero polish, but also smartly dodges the packed late-2026 release window. The delay makes sense, they dont want smoke with GTA6.
@Th3birdman15 Please, Birdman, I trust you saw that i tagged you a couple hours ago. Please we need you to cook this clown, as usual.
Somebody called this brother a professional critc. 😭😭
Lupita approaching Helen as a psychologically real person instead of a beauty pageant is exactly the kind of depth that makes the "just cast a pretty face" complaints look even more shallow than they already were.
Lupita Nyong'o says it was important for her to explore the mental state of Helen of Troy in ‘THE ODYSSEY’.
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder… There's no way for me to play beauty so I needed to figure out who this woman was beyond the thing she’s most famous for.”

@matthewdmarsden Coming from the same guy who called Nerdrotic and Critical Drinker "professional reviewers" replacing real critics, & was calling this movie trash a few hours ago. Now discovering "nuance" the moment your side started losing the argument isn't wisdom, it's just repositioning.
@moksha_prakriti Never said she wasn't beautiful, the text says both things are true. She's renowned for her beauty AND written with real interiority, guilt, and agency. That's not a contradiction, that's just a fuller character than the "pretty face, nothing else" read gives her credit for.
