Hi, I’m Shawn Buttling.
Some of you may know me; many probably don’t. I’m the CEO and Co-Founder of https://t.co/JloseKTLXW.
Not everything has gone the way Web3 investors typically expect. That’s on me. I’m here to learn, adjust, and do better.
My background is Web2, primarily the tourism industry. I launched and sold Sensational Sydney Cruises (“Cruise Like a Local” on Sydney Harbour) and built it into a highly regarded experience with strong international reach.
https://t.co/JloseKTLXW platform is my next vision: solving real workforce problems across tourism, hospitality, marine, and beyond. These industries face ongoing skilled labour shortages, and the reality of seasonal and surge demand doesn’t fit traditional hiring models. I saw a clear gap—moving skilled talent to where it’s needed in a more open, flexible, and cost-effective way. That problem still exists, and it’s worth solving.
From today, my focus is simple:
Bring this project back on track, step by step—through transparency and consistency.
No hype. No shortcuts.
Just building, learning, and showing up every day.
REAL UTILITY > MARKET NOISE
Earlier this week we were asked to find a Polish-speaking guide in Melbourne with less than 24 hours’ notice.
Three days later, the group was arriving.
Most talk about shortages.
We solved one.
Australia doesn’t have a passion problem in tourism. It has a structural supply problem fragmented networks, limited pipelines, language scarcity.
Through Gig-space, we widened access and secured the guide in 24 hours.
While charts move, we build.
$GIG is tied to real-world labour matching.
Real bookings. Real people. Real payments.
Utility compounds.

Down markets don’t scare builders. They reveal them.
It’s wild to me how stressed people get when markets pull back. I’ve seen this cycle too many times.
Smart money doesn’t panic.
It leans in.
Just like a card table you don’t fold a strong hand because the dealer flips one bad card. You know when to hold, when to stay patient, and when to double down.
The charts don’t say “run.”
They say, “zoom out.”
At Gig-Space, we’re not watching screens in panic.
We’re building real utility, real connections, real revenue.
$GIG isn’t a story detached from reality it’s tied to an operating platform, real jobs, real invoices, and real people getting paid.
While some are stressing at their desks, we’re still shipping, matching talent, and growing the business.
Fear creates opportunity.
Builders recognise it.

When markets pull back, reality steps forward.
This image isn’t about politics.
It’s about what happens every cycle.
When speculation cools, capital flows back to:
• factories
• logistics
• processing
• infrastructure
• real work
Furnaces come back on, Facilities reopen, People get hired.
This is where real labour platforms matter.
While markets debate price, work keeps moving across regions, industries, and timelines.
That’s the economy Gig-Space is built connecting people to real work, wherever demand shows up next.

When Markets Are Red, Real Businesses Still Execute
While the crypto market chops sideways, Web2 doesn’t stop. And neither do we.
This week we secured a new client who threw us a curveball:
Polish-speaking tour guide needed in Melbourne in 3 days.
That’s rare.
But real marketplaces are built for real problems.
✔️ Job created
✔️ Guide sourced
✔️ Invoice issued
✔️ Work delivered
This is exactly why $GIG exists.
Not hype. Not promises.
Real utility powering real business.
Web3 prices move.
Web2 keeps executing.
The strongest projects are building quietly in both.
Still cooking. Still connecting. Still shipping.

Web3 may be down
Markets may be red
But Web2 at https://t.co/JloseKTLXW is very real.
Today we received a distressed call:
A $1,088 AUD tour guide gig needed urgently for Monday.
This is what utility looks like.
Real jobs. Real payments. Real connections.
$GIG isn’t built on hype it’s tied to a working labour marketplace.
When the market catches up to utility, the story changes.

This is going to be a short post as I just pulled a 14 hour shift without pay.
Being an entrepreneur a co-founder a visionary means showing up when the den is hot. Putting out fires no one see’s, smiling and dialling while the candles are red.
I had so many wins it might not show in the bank account or the $gig charts.
The seeds are planted and I know we are winning with all my heart!
Over and out.

Perspective on down markets, from someone who thinks in decades, not days
Markets go up and down. That’s not news, it’s how markets work.
If you only buy at highs, you leave opportunity on the table. If you buy the dips when real utility projects are priced lower, you put yourself in a position to benefit when demand returns.
This isn’t speculation language.
It’s the same logic used in stocks, commodities, and equities for 100+ years:
Buy low. Sell high.
Crypto has drawn more attention because prices move faster but the principle hasn’t changed.
For real utility tokens, ones built around use, not stories a down market is a discounted entry point.
At Gig-Space, that’s what $GIG represents:
A utility designed to remove friction in payments and labour markets priced at a point where people can enter with real intent, not just emotion.
Markets don’t go straight up.
They cycle.
And real builders understand that.

CEO perspective. No noise. Just facts.
When you see headlines about Trump-linked groups, Abu Dhabi capital, and global institutions deploying ~$500M into crypto, covered by the Wall Street Journal, that tells you one thing:
Crypto is no longer a theory. It’s infrastructure.
$GIG isn’t hype. It’s a utility, built to reduce friction, move real payments, and support real work inside Gig-Space
While markets go up and down, history shows the same pattern every cycle:
· The winners build and accumulate
· The spectators wait… and buy later
We’re focused on execution, not commentary.

One operational mistake I won’t repeat again
An operational mistake I made early at Gig-Space
I assumed early traction would come from new users joining and immediately posting jobs on the platform.
What I underestimated was this, we’re not just onboarding people, we’re re-educating behaviour. Most scouts (employers) are used to Seek, Indeed, Facebook groups, WhatsApp threads, or email blasts. Asking them to switch platforms isn’t just a tech change, it’s a habit change.
That slows early traction, even when the solution is better.
The lesson for me, short term, you remove friction and meet people where they are.
Long term, behaviour shifts naturally once trust and results are there.
That adjustment changed how we operate.

What execution over noise looks like day to day.
Execution isn’t loud. It’s meetings, follow-ups, fixing friction, and solving problems before anyone notices.
Noise comes later, when the work becomes visible.
If you chase noise first, you end up explaining promises. If you execute first, the noise explains itself.
That’s the phase we’re in now.
Building first. Talking second!

Why $GIG exists (and why it started in the real world)
My interest in launching $GIG didn’t start in a boardroom. It started on a beach in Coogee, Sydney.
I was talking with a business partner about traditional VC and seed funding when a young backpacker nearby overheard us. He casually said, “Why don’t you launch a utility token and go Web3?”
That question stuck.
We did the research. We looked at what was happening globally, big institutions entering crypto, governments becoming more open, and younger generations already living in Web3.
Originally, we explored tying a token to equity, the same way Web2 does it. But after proper research, it was clear that wasn’t the right path under Australian regulation. So, we went back to first principles: utility.
At the same time, we needed a global way to pay people in fiat. That led us to Payoneer, a platform that lets workers get paid locally, in their own currency, with far less friction than traditional wires or transfers.
That’s when it clicked.
https://t.co/JloseKTLXW is about removing friction from work. Payoneer removes friction from fiat payments. $GIG is designed to remove friction inside the ecosystem itself.
$GIG isn’t about replacing fiat; it’s about giving people another option. Gurus who choose to be paid in $GIG save 20% on connection fees, and younger workers already active in Web3 can earn, spend, and participate in the platform they’re working on.
That’s how $GIG fits into https://t.co/JloseKTLXW
Not as hype, but as a practical utility built from real conversations, real work, and real problems.

Why transparency is harder than hype
Hype is easy. It’s fast, loud, and temporary.
Transparency is slower. It means showing the work, the gaps, and the time it actually takes for things to move.
In real businesses, partnerships don’t convert overnight.
Jobs don’t appear the moment an announcement is made.
Revenue follows execution, not excitement.
Transparency asks people to trust consistency instead of noise.
That’s harder. But it’s also what lasts.
