How many children are you planning to have?

If you want to save your nation have large families. Full stop.

Birth rates determine whether a people have a future. A country with collapsing fertility eventually becomes older, smaller, weaker, and less capable of sustaining its communities, institutions, economy, churches, and way of life. Children are the future in the most literal sense possible.

That is why we need to take pro-natalism seriously.

Marriage should be honored. Motherhood should be honored. Fatherhood should be honored. Large families should be celebrated as one of the greatest investments a generation can make in the future.

Having four, six, eight, or more children creates something powerful. Brothers, sisters, cousins, grandchildren, extended family networks, future fathers, future mothers, builders, farmers, teachers, pastors, craftsmen, and citizens. A strong nation is built from strong families repeated across generations.

Those children also need formation.

Raise them in the Church. Teach them Scripture. Teach them to pray. Let them grow up watching their father lead, their mother nurture, their family worship together, and their community take faith seriously. Give them roots deep enough that the culture cannot easily pull them away from everything their ancestors handed down.

Homeschooling is one of the strongest tools available to families who take that responsibility seriously. Parents can shape an education around faith, history, literature, practical skills, discipline, character, and truth. Children can spend more time with siblings, parents, grandparents, animals, gardens, workshops, churches, and real work.

That creates continuity.

A civilization survives when one generation deliberately forms the next.

Have children. Have more than the culture tells you is convenient. Raise them with faith, courage, competence, and a deep love for their family and homeland. Teach them to marry, build, worship, work, and have families of their own.

Do that for several generations and you change the future of a nation.

The family is where civilization reproduces itself.

Build the family, strengthen the Church, raise the next generation well, and the nation has a future.

I'm biased since my wife is half Norwegian. So now we are raising mini-Nord/Celts and I think a lot about how much I want to preserve and protect their nation. Yes I am referring to America, but also our ancestral nations in Europe. They matter too.

Am I the only that thinks after we save America we should save Europe?

Europe is worth preserving because it is one of the great storehouses of human achievement.

The cathedrals, monasteries, villages, castles, farms, paintings, music and old city streets were built across centuries by people who believed they had inherited something worth handing down. Christianity sits at the center of much of that story. The faith shaped Europe’s calendar, art, architecture, universities, laws, charitable institutions and understanding of family, duty and human dignity. Everything.

Walk through Rome, Prague, Edinburgh, Krakow, Paris or a tiny medieval village and you are looking at generations layered on top of one another. Stone churches still stand where families worshiped for hundreds of years. Bells still ring from towers raised by men who knew they would never live to see the full fruits of their work.

Preserving Europe should mean preserving that inheritance: restoring churches instead of abandoning them, protecting historic towns from soulless development, teaching children their history, maintaining traditional crafts and keeping local languages, music, festivals and customs alive.

A civilization that forgets where it came from eventually stops knowing what is worth protecting.

Europe does not have to become a museum. Living cultures change. But progress should not require destroying memory.

The Christian heritage, beauty and traditions of Europe were inherited, not invented by us. We should be good stewards of them and pass them on stronger than we received them.

How did women today lose the ability to know the difference between men and women?

Have you found yourself a based wife like this?

Men and women are equal in worth, but they are very different. This is God's intentional design.

From the beginning, Scripture presents humanity as male and female, both made in the image of God, yet created with real differences that allow them to complement one another. Men are generally built with greater physical strength, size and ambition. Women are uniquely designed to conceive, carry, birth and nourish. Those biological differences are not small details. They shape how families, communities and civilizations have functioned throughout history.

A healthy view of masculinity does not mean domination. A man’s strength is supposed to become protection, provision, discipline, courage and sacrifice. His responsibility is not to demand service, but to spend himself for those entrusted to him. Christian leadership is modeled after Christ, who gave Himself for His people.

Likewise, femininity is not weakness. A woman possesses an extraordinary capacity to nurture life, create a home, form children, preserve relationships and bring warmth and order to a family. Motherhood in particular is one of the most physically demanding and spiritually significant callings imaginable.

Exceptions do not erase the larger pattern.

Modern culture often treats equality as though it requires sameness. Christianity offers something richer: equal dignity, different strengths, shared purpose.

A husband and wife are not competing versions of the same thing. They are two distinct parts of a whole, each bringing something the other cannot fully replace.

God did not make men and women different by accident. The differences are part of the beauty of creation. The goal is not to flatten them, but to order those strengths toward love, family, service and ultimately toward God.

I'm partial towards the Irish and Scottish one being the dad of a very Celtic-heavy Texas family

How much do you know about the history of the Celts, especially Ireland and Scotland?

Ireland and Scotland were shaped long before modern states existed. They were lands of clans, kinship, cattle, kings, warriors, poets and deeply rooted local traditions. Loyalty to family and tribe mattered. Honor mattered. The land mattered. These were hard peoples living in hard places, surrounded by cold seas, mountains, bogs and rocky country, and their cultures developed around endurance, courage and belonging.

Ireland was never conquered by the Roman Empire, which allowed much of its native Gaelic culture to survive intact. By the fifth century, Christianity was spreading rapidly across the island. St. Patrick became its most famous missionary, but he was part of a broader Christian movement already underway. Irish monasteries soon became centers of prayer, learning, craftsmanship and scholarship. Monks copied manuscripts, educated young men and carried the faith far beyond Ireland.

Scotland followed a similar path. The land was home to Picts, Britons, Gaels and later Norse settlers. In 563, St. Columba founded the monastery at Iona, which became one of the great Christian centers of the early medieval world. From places like Iona, missionaries preached across Scotland and helped transform warrior societies without erasing their identity.

That is what makes the Christian history of Ireland and Scotland so powerful. Christianity did not make these peoples weak. It redirected strength toward something higher. The warrior was taught that courage also meant sacrifice. The king was reminded that he answered to God. The family became sacred. Hospitality became a duty. Learning became an act of worship.

These nations produced saints, monks, missionaries, craftsmen and warriors because their faith was not merely private. It shaped the village, the family, the calendar, the law and the culture.

There is something deeply based about a people keeping their ancient identity while placing it beneath the Cross.

The Cologne Cathedral took over 600 years to build

People started building incredible things like this that not even their great grandchildren would get to see

How did we lose that?

Cologne Cathedral is the result of a civilization that believes God deserves its absolute best.

Construction began in 1248, after Cologne had become one of Europe’s great pilgrimage centers. The builders envisioned an enormous Gothic cathedral, reaching higher and attempting things in stone that pushed medieval engineering to its limits. The choir was completed in 1322, but construction eventually stalled. For centuries the cathedral stood unfinished. Then, in the 1800s, another generation picked up the work, following the medieval plans. In 1880, more than 600 years after the first stone was laid, Cologne Cathedral was finally completed.

Think about that. Men began a project knowing they would never see it finished. Their sons wouldn't. Their grandsons wouldn't. They carved stone, raised towers, made stained glass and spent fortunes building something whose purpose was not convenience, profit, or personal fame, but the glorification of God.

That is unbelievably based.

We should build beautiful things again. Churches that make you look upward. Homes meant to outlive us. Farms, towns and institutions our descendants will inherit. A healthy civilization doesn't only ask, “What can we build cheaply and quickly?” It asks, “What is worthy of God, our children, and the generations after us?”

Women were uniquely designed for the work of making a home come alive. Because nurturing, ordering, protecting, and cultivating life are deeply valuable strengths. Yes we've learned they can do a lot more than this, but is it a coincidence women that try to become "girlbosses" always end up miserable?

A house can be built with lumber and stone, but a home is created through daily care. Meals prepared, children taught, gardens tended, animals watched over, food preserved, and a thousand small details remembered. Women thrive at this. The same way men thrive at providing and protecting.

There is wisdom in following God’s design instead of constantly fighting against it. Scripture consistently treats the building of a home, the raising of children, hospitality, diligence, and fruitful work as honorable callings worthy of respect.

On a homestead, that calling becomes tangible. The garden feeds the family. The kitchen turns raw ingredients into nourishment. Chickens, herbs, fruit trees, seedlings, and children all require patience, observation, consistency, and care. None of that is lesser work. It is productive work in the oldest sense: cultivating abundance where there was once only potential.

A strong household works best when husband and wife honor their responsibilities rather than competing over whose role looks more important. There is dignity in building a place where children are raised well, food is grown, traditions are preserved, and a family becomes more capable of caring for its own needs. In embracing that work, a woman can serve her family while faithfully stewarding the home God has entrusted to her.

Generic LLMs fail at serialized fiction because they lack a long-horizon narrative reward function.

Seriously though, I gotta say when you have an awesome wife they pull through even during times like this. My wife was cooking and cleaning leading up to starting labor. Ladies, you can definitely do a lot more than you think.

Of course, I did my best to help her since she was pregnant and she got daily foot massages. I took over and cooked a few times or picked up food. But she made a significant effort to still take care of our household even when she was very pregnant knowing I would have to spend long portions of the day working.

Gents, find you a based wife like that. They are out there. You can find them in the church. If you look for a girl in a bar you will find that kind of girl. If you look for a girl to marry at church or say a Christian ministry, you will find that kind of girl.
