The end of The Big Bang Theory felt huge because it wasnโt just a finale โ it was the end of a show people had grown up with for 12 years. By the time they filmed the last episode, the cast already knew this was the final table read, final jokes, final scenes on those sets theyโd lived in for over a decadeโฆ and apparently the room was emotional almost immediately.
During the final episode read-through, a lot of the cast were crying before they could even finish lines. Kaley Cuoco has said she was โsobbingโ through parts of it, and photos from backstage showed people hugging constantly between takes. Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, and the others all talked about how strange it felt seeing the apartments and cafeteria sets one last time knowing theyโd never return there together again.
The final scene especially hit hard because it was quiet and simple โ everyone eating together in the apartment like always while Sheldonโs Nobel speech played over it. No giant dramatic ending, just their normal life continuing. Thatโs why so many fans cried too; it felt like saying goodbye to friends rather than just characters.
And the audience during the taping was emotional too โ long standing ovations, people tearing up during Sheldonโs speech, and huge applause when the elevator was finally shown working after years of jokes.
I found this on tik tok (shoutout to @Fergul_) and this is definitely the best representation of pride in overwatch.
Happy pride month๐ณ๏ธโ๐๐ฉต
I found the tech to translate Jetpack Cat's meows... Turns out she's not a fan of most of the hero roster. #overwatch#jetpackcat
