As we have seen throughout history, governments begin to abuse great tools. And these tools without a doubt could be used for good. I was just corresponding with a police officer. I was talking about how he was able to track down a r@p&!st of a young girl using a Flock system.
But history tells a different story.
East Germany’s Stasi perfected a police surveillance state by amassing files on one in citizens through informants, mail intercepts, and constant monitoring, while the Gestapo and Soviet NKVD/KGB used similar total information control to crush dissent; today’s networked Flock cameras, which scan and retain license-plate data (and additional information) across jurisdictions without warrants, echo those systems and, if left unchecked, hand governments the absolute power that history shows inevitably corrupts into broader tracking, political targeting, and erosion of civil liberties. What do you guys think?
The most effective way to create wealth is boring.
It's "buy and hold".
I bought a Kobe card for $6,000 in 2007 and sold it for $17,000 in 2009.
I thought I won.
Today that card is worth over $2,000,000.
Be patient.
@markrmcqueen I’m probably top tax payer in Canada? Definitely up there. I’m fine with that. I’d like the government to do a good job with that money. But that’s probably a far right thought again 🤷♂️
I'm in a pissed off mood. The more that I fight to wake people up, the more that I feel that we are being drowned by a tsunami of parasitic thinking and associated suicidal empathy.
$BE was my second-largest trade last week behind $AMZN. Insightful, contentious text thread with close friends who sold Bloom at last week’s lows while I was aggressively adding, admittedly while pissing my pants as my account was hemorrhaging. Those are the hardest trades you’ll ever make, but can be the most rewarding.
Worth noting this is inside a designated high risk/high reward account.
It is crazy to see all of the hate and shitposting about Leopold.
That young man went for it. He hit big and then lost big, but in reality he has accomplished more in his early 20s than most will in a lifetime. I admire those that take a big chance. Even when they miss.
Haters always hate up, almost never down.
I have a feeling this isn’t the last we hear from this guy. 🙏🏻💪🏻🚀
The degree to which AI valuations move in lockstep is a symptom of the market’s inability to differentiate. A few yrs from now 2026 will look like a full spectrum of winners, losers, and everything in between. Today the market simply can’t perform that separation. You don’t need to call them all. You just need to call one or two before everyone else.
