@Carnage4Life Electronic spreadsheets in the late 1970s raised concerns about job displacement among clerical workers, particularly those involved in data entry and manual bookkeeping. These displaced jobs, but created many more jobs and provided countless amounts of benefit to society.

@Carnage4Life Very interesting point! When calculators came out, one of the bigges fears was that they would replace jobs that required manual calculation, such as bookkeeping and accounting roles, leading to unemployment in those sectors. It did to some point.
