@nitwitschool@CofRedCentral I added Lawrence because his was the only name I could remember at that point lol. Shoulda kept it a top 8 and left him out.
@nitwitschool@CofRedCentral Reid reminds me of Bennett. Meteoric rise up the draft stocks due to one particularly good season with development at the right time. Sure, Bennett is a good player - top 20 in a 2014 redraft. That combined with his scouting report reminding me of Bouwmeester... Not sold.
@SchnorrPedro@Terrytaoe@MikeBartner Context matters. Parekh accomplished what he did on a poor team that was overly relying on vets, resulting in very low opportunity. Buium received significant minutes in both Minnesota and Vancouver.
Not weighing in either way - though I am a big Parekh fan - just pointing out.
@tay1151410@nitwitschool@CofRedCentral Stankoven has 15 points in 17 games. He is 5'8". That includes 3 points in 4 games against the Knights.
Might it be more difficult? Sure. Stankoven went 47th o/a 5 years ago due to similar size concerns.
Bjorck is an inch shorter and 6-8 kg smaller than Bedard.
@nitwitschool@CofRedCentral My top 9
McKenna
Stenberg
Sharp drop off
Carels
Malhotra / Bjorck (I can't decide)
Sharp drop off
Verhoeff
Slight drop off
Smits
Reid
Lawrence
Everyone else
@Jerkyboy14@NHLMedia Canada is loading internationally because our goaltenders suck. When Admin Hill is one of your best international choices, you are pretty screwed.
@farman4x Knowing basic squares and exponents doesn't make you a wizard... Any tenth grader should be able to do this at a glance. It looks vastly more complicated than it is. 12*1/4 = 3.
@nitwitschool Agreed. He has no contractual right to force a trade. I do think that the next CBA should formalize the trade request from a player, though. If requested in writing, the team is obliged to try, but until the request is either fulfilled or withdrawn, all trade protection is void.
@GuhleSzn@FierySharky He had leverage. The Flames still could sign him to a one year deal that walked him to free agency. He was under no obligation to do anything more, as they only had that one last year of team control left. He made it clear that he would only sign for that one year with us.
@FierySharky IMO a trade request should automatically void any and all trade protection. No movement protection can stay - no AHL reassignment - but until/unless the trade request is withdrawn or completed, then trade protection should be fully null and void.
What is better than watching an @C9LoL playoff game live on stream? ESPECIALLY given the heartbreak all of us C9 fans have had the last few years?
Obviously having @CaptainFlowers casting the series. LETS GO #C9WIN#LCS
(2/2) As a @NHLFlames fan, I am cheering for Vegas - their unprotected first in 2028 could be super juicy.
Stylistically, though, the Hurricanes are the kind of club I wish the Flames could become. They have taken some solid steps under Conroy. I would love to see them rewarded.
What a fun contrast of styles for the #NHL cup finals. In one corner, @GoldenKnights are the most aggressive, cut-throat trading team in the business. In the other, @CarolinaNHL are the most intelligent, patient team that always has an eye on the future.
