Earlier this week, I completed my oath of office alongside our newest councilmembers, Kenny Buckland and Monte Lyons.
Here’s what happened at Council this week: we celebrated our 2025 MVP Award winners, approved funding to continue the Non-Residential Grass Removal Rebate Program, and advanced key roadway and trail improvements.

Yesterday, Governor Hobbs signed a bipartisan $17.6 billion state budget into law.
We are proud to share that the budget includes $5 million dedicated to well treatment in the Town of Gilbert.
Gilbert’s new budget is focused on what matters most.
- More police and fire staffing
- Upgraded streets and water systems
- Expanded parks and public spaces
