(1/2) Our last group of interns finished yesterday. We had our two biggest intern classes (20 interns total) this summer and exposed them to all parts of the firm. They were dynamite! We had high school, undergrad and graduate students. Most were people of color or young women

Had a great time having super lawyer Tony Buzbee on my show to give us an update on how local restaurants were impacted by Hurricane Beryl and CenterPoint. CenterPoint needs to be held accountable and do much better for Houston residents.

Dee Dee and I had such an awesome time at the Bayou Arts Festival. There are so many talented artists that showcase their work. It's amazing to see everyone's creativity. Personally, my favorite thing about the festival was the Kona Ice truck!! I love snow cones.

We had a great radio show episode with Firefighter Union President Marty Lancton. We discussed the City settling the firefighter pay after the city refused to implement the will of the voters, causing an 8-year legal battle and creating a $1 billion financial hole for the city.

Had a blast with Dee Dee,  Rep. Christina Morales and Adrian Castillo at MANIA: The ABBA Tribute. From the music to the costumes, it was awesome. Many people were  dressed like the band!

It was great hosting the varsity choir group from the St. Agnes High School at our house. Juju and her friends are so talented and adorable! JuJu is 17 and she still loves me!

It was great to see my old friend Roland Rodriguez! He built one of the premiere MWBE accounting firms in America and mentored many of us over the years. I’m glad to hear that he is enjoying retirement in Costa Rica.
