It would have been Grandpas 94th birthday today, these pictures pretty well depict my memories working on the farm with him. I was in the back of the tractor wearing a Kubota hat in this picture (around 1990). I remember Franze von Ziegesar took the picture of us bailing hay, he and Liz were over to the Toole farm in their jeep. Grandpa was only 75 when he died but he was stronger and more able bodied than most men 20 years younger. I am sure he is having a great Easter celebration in heaven today, I am not sure on the meal but definitely a big bowl of ice cream for dessert.
Laughlin had a complete meltdown (Autism) because he couldn’t understand the difference between dollars and cents. I sat him down and explained it out to him and he counted his money up perfectly. He is a bit too smart for his own good, last night he figured out the password to his brother’s phone. Listening to him and his Nadia chatting back and forth it figuring it out was pretty entertaining!
Silas and Solomon went with me for the day yesterday, we had lots of great conversations. Solomon asked do Whales eat people? I said they usually eat plankton, Solomon excitedly says that makes sense because the character plankton on Sponge Bob square pants is really scared of whales….. LOL
Preferably a dealership that is family owned, if you have a problem you can go and sit down with the owner and work things out. Good service goes along with that, brand is really irrelevant in my mind. My experience is the larger the dealer network owned by one entity you get poorer parts and service and typically at the top is some useless tit that was raised with a silver spoon in their mouth.
So long story short pick a local family owned business that understands your business, they will be super grateful for the support and you will feel good knowing you have helped them succeed.
This is the last load of feed to go until mid next week. Thanks to Reuben Munro for doing this late night delivery. I think we should have hung some lights off of the elevator seeing how we have an awesome star on the top.
