Fantastic event at Firs Botanical Grounds today. Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who helped make it happen! (I was too preoccupied to take photos so have to retweet Amanda's). Special thanks to Ollie, Rachel and Megan (and Ossie for the prep) #fascinationofplantsday
Massive thanks to @sainsburys delivery driver in Colchester who recently came to the rescue of my mother after a fall, calling an ambulance and waiting with her till it arrived

@BUCBotany@Aristolochia We have discussed whether we should name our new research greenhouses after her. However her views on eugenics were, shall we say, problematic...and what drove her work on family planning.
Come along to our Green Together event on the 22, 23 & 24 February at Manchester Central Library! Chat with our friendly scientists and engineers about ways we can all do our bit in living a greener lifestyle! 💚 https://t.co/uYxwxJY9JZ #ClimateChange
The Green Wellbeing Project (based at Firs Botanical Grounds) is a group for anyone who might need it and is offered every Wednesday, 11am-1pm. This is a space where you can come to spend some time doing mindful activities in nature.
Urban biodiversity is positively associated with human health and wellbeing. Our university campus makes no exception.
