#TSUEngMAE Happy Midterm Break everyone! Working on my lit review... just separated all my annotations into 4 themes. My strategy was to write my sources out on notecards & add key words/phrases. Then I just played a little matching game to see what went well with what!

@boyd3_boyd ...high expectations for them. It's difficult to move from "caring" to "critical caring." I see students suffering and just want to be sympathetic & encouraging. But UB has the goal of getting students to college-- which requires "more than understanding" (55). #TSUEngMAE

A6. Someday, I’d love to assign a creative, multi-modal project. I’m realizing that they can be all tech-based if I were to have students use a blog format! Students could upload videos, artwork, pictures, sound clips… all to tell a story through multiple literacies. #NCTEChat

A5. I also work for Upward Bound; the issue of equity in tech-use is especially prevalent in that context. Many of our low-income, rural students can only use tech/WiFi while physically at the school building. #NCTEChat
