Please help us replace our building this year - our 55th of being open in Walsall. We are desperate and won’t survive another winter! Please visit https://t.co/Ew4dOBm3Ng or contact [email protected] Thank you! #samaritans

@McDonaldsUK Can you ask your Rushall (Walsall) branch why they charge £5.12 for a £5 Box meal (advertised as £5) blaming ‘tax’? Tax?? No other branch I’ve visited does this? Is this a scam? Even the manager stuck with the ‘food tax’ reply. Won’t be going back!

It's Brew Monday! ☕✨ Today is about so much more than the actual brew itself. We’re not just obsessed with tea, we promise!

It's all about the moments that happen around the brew, and the small but mighty power that asking ‘shall we have a cuppa and chat?’ can have. 🧵

[Samaritans @samaritans]

Right, we all know Blue Monday isn’t real and our mental health doesn’t fit neatly into a calendar. But as it’s trending again this year, we’ll use this moment to share some words that could hopefully bring comfort when tough days do happen.

Retweet to help us get real info out.

[Walsall Samaritans @WalsallSams2023]

Looking forward to meeting hospital staff, patients and visitors @NHSWellbeing on Brew Monday. There’s always time for a cuppa. Drop by and say hello.

[Walsall Samaritans @WalsallSams2023]

If you are at the Manor Hospital @NHSWellbeing ,do come along and say hello and have a chat.

[Walsall Samaritans @WalsallSams2023]

It's Brew Monday and we are at The Manor Hospital, @wal can you find time for a cuppa and catch up today?

[Samaritans @samaritans]

This in-between time between Christmas and New Years can feel a bit... odd can’t it? The days might blur, and regular routines can slip.

But one thing that won’t change: we’re here if you need to talk, 24/7, whatever the day, whatever the time. 💚

[Samaritans @samaritans]

It might feel extra hard to reach out for help today because it’s Christmas. But please know you don’t have to face anything alone. If you’re having a hard time, we’ll face it with you. We’re here all day and night 💚

Thank you to @stanchers , @ITVCentral, @ExpressandStar , @WalsallCouncil who helped us get #project55 in the public arena.

[Walsall Samaritans @WalsallSams2023]

We cannot thank everyone enough for what they have done to help raise the money, and also the many kind offers of help with the practical issues of a new build.
This time next year, we will be in our new building, looking forward to the next 55 years of our branch.

Christmas has come early for @walsallsams2023 volunteers. We have hit #project55 target of £250,000 in just over a year. Our local community, alongside samaritan branches across the UK have been generous with their support. 1/2

[Walsall Samaritans @WalsallSams2023]

A year ago today, @walsallsams2023 appeared on @ITVCentral talking about #Project55. One year on we have reached £230,000 of our £250,000 target. All we want for this Christmas, is to raise the remaining money, so we can have our new building in 2025.

If you find the festive period hard, please know you’re not alone. Laura’s words in this video really hit home about what it’s like to struggle with your mental health around this time of year.

Mark and I stand with Gregg Wallace. (Also @mrmarksteel is on desert island discs in 3 mins.)

[Kirstie Allsopp @KirstieMAllsopp]

Why say nothing? Because you feel, in no particular order, embarrassed, a prude, shocked, waiting for a male colleague to call him out, not wanting to “rock the boat”, thinking it’s better to plough on with the day, assuming you misheard/misunderstood or just don’t get the joke.

[Kirstie Allsopp @KirstieMAllsopp]

Within 1hr of meeting Gregg Walllace he told me of a sex act that he & his partner at the time enjoyed “every morning”, she’d just left the room, we were filming a pilot. Did he get off on how embarrassed I was? It was totally unprofessional, I’m a #MiddleClassWomanOfaCertainAge

Since 2018, @SarahMillican75 and her wonderful supporters have raised over £550k for @samaritans!
As well as vital funds, she also raises awareness for the work that we do, and we couldn’t be more grateful 💚
Here’s a thank you, from all of us 👇
