จริง ๆ แอบสะดุดใจกับเรื่อง aesthetic ของหนังแนวนี้ในยุคปัจจุบันมาระยะหนึ่งแล้ว ทั้งโทนภาพที่ชอบ desaturate ทุกอย่างให้หม่นเทาหรือชุดที่หลายครั้งดูเป็น generic fantasy มากกว่าจะมี character บางครั้งมันก็น่าเศร้าใจที่คนเรามองข้ามรากของวัฒนธรรมของคนที่เคยมีเรื่องราวของตนบนโลกนี้

งานดัดแปลงจาก fantasy หรือ myth ที่ดี ถึงจะเหนือจริงแค่ไหน ก็ยังต้องมี internal logic และภาพรวมทางวัฒนธรรมของโลกที่สอดคล้องกันอยู่ ผู้ชมถึงจะเชื่อในโลกนั้นได้ มันคล้ายกับที่คนดูยอมรับมังกรหรือเทพเจ้าใน fantasy ได้ เพราะมันอยู่ใน grammar เดียวกันของโลกนั้น (ต่อ)
