It is not up to our schools to teach Americans to be "patriotic". This begs the question - who gets to decide what being patriotic actually means? Blindly supporting anything our government does? That is not what the founders had in mind. Freedom requires critical thought.

@FullFrontalSamB While I am a strong opponent of the President and his policies, using the C-word to refer to any person is reprehensible. Oppose someone's policies, actions or politics, but petty, vile name-calling gives up the moral high ground & abandons any real message.

#Chopped is adding Martha Stewart to the cast of judges. Ugh! This is a total mis-match of attitude and personality with the rest of the judges. I'll probably skip her episodes.
