That's precisely why Square Enix has multiple development teams: so they can work on different projects simultaneously.
On top of that, the company has been going through an internal restructuring focused on its various development units, with the goal of improving the quality of its games while also expanding the variety of projects within its major IPs.
You may not agree with continuing to expand the Final Fantasy VII universe, and that's perfectly fine. But many other fans — myself included — absolutely want to see this universe continue to grow, especially considering that the developers themselves have expressed their desire to keep exploring its story for many years to come.
And no, continuing to develop the Final Fantasy VII universe does not mean that other Final Fantasy projects have to be cancelled, delayed, or put on hold. Square Enix has multiple teams working on different projects at the same time, precisely so the company can support several series and projects simultaneously.
You don't have to want more FFVII. But that doesn't mean everyone else should be expected to stop wanting it either.
Following the announcement of FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION, we received many requests from fans and media for DLC, and decided to make it happen.
Rather than announcing it after launch, we wanted to share our plans before the release of the main game.
We’ll be telling the stories of Sephiroth and Vincent in greater depth. We hope you’re looking forward to it!

Shigeru Miyamoto advises game creators against chasing mass appeal, arguing that trying to please everyone ultimately strips games of their unique identity🚀
“If developers try to make something the world will like, it becomes generic.”
Rather than targeting a universal audience, Miyamoto suggests that developers draw inspiration from their own unique, personal interests to create truly compelling experiences.
“The most ‘local’ things – like an individual’s personal hobbies – are often the ones that resonate globally.
If you try to base your work on things that only seem to have broad appeal, you end up with something generic”
Miyamoto points to Pokémon, which was not originally designed in a boardroom for universal marketability; rather, it was born directly from creator Satoshi Tajiri's specific childhood fascination with catching bugs.
We need more people like him🫡

To the Forza Horizon 6 Development Team,
First of all, I want to sincerely congratulate everyone involved in creating Forza Horizon 6. The amount of passion, detail, atmosphere, car variety, visual quality, sound design, and sense of automotive culture present in this series is genuinely impressive. Few racing games manage to capture the feeling of freedom, car enthusiasm, and celebration of global car culture the way Forza Horizon does.
One aspect I especially appreciate is the love and recognition given to Japanese automotive culture throughout the franchise. The influence of JDM culture, iconic vehicles, tuning styles, and customization history has always been a huge part of what makes car games exciting for many players.
Because of that, I wanted to respectfully share a small piece of feedback regarding aesthetic customization.
I would love to see more extensive visual customization options in Forza Horizon 6, particularly in the area of wide body kits and aggressive styling packages — similar to what can be found in some titles like Need for Speed or The Crew Motorfest.
More specifically, I would love to see expanded customization support for the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, as well as some newer Skyline/GT-R models too — but especially the R34.
The Skyline GT-R R34 is one of the most legendary and beloved Japanese performance cars ever created, yet lately it sometimes feels a little underrepresented in terms of body customization options compared to other vehicles that receive larger and more dramatic widebody conversions.
It would be incredible to have options inspired by Rocket Bunny / Pandem, Liberty Walk, classic underground tuning aesthetics, or even iconic early-2000s styles similar to the memorable builds seen in classic street racing games.
And by “wide body,” I mean kits that genuinely transform the silhouette of the car — visibly wider fenders, stronger stance, more aggressive proportions, and a design that truly makes the car feel bold and distinctive.
Currently, the available option for the R34 feels a bit subtle and restrained compared to some of the fantastic body kits that exist for other cars in the game.
I understand licensing and future DLC plans may influence these decisions, but I still wanted to respectfully share my enthusiasm and support for this idea.
Thank you for all the incredible work and passion you continue to put into this series. 🔥

Hi! Reposting this in a more concise way—thank you again for giving the community the chance to share ideas, it’s truly appreciated.
For Final Fantasy VII, I’d love to suggest something simple: importing the official character designs from Kingdom Hearts II directly into the game. Cloud and Sephiroth are my personal favorites, but all the KH2 versions look fantastic.
I know there are already great character mods out there—especially NinoStyle’s work, which is very visually appealing. Still, I feel the KH2 designs could bring a fresh and unique aesthetic to the game.
If it were ever possible to recreate them faithfully as they appear in KH2, I think they could really stand out and offer something special for fans of that style.
Thanks again for all your amazing work and for taking the time to read community suggestions!
